2018/19 Season Player Ratings
I attempted to give ratings averaged out to my match day ratings
Both Jansson & Hernandez achieved 10/10 in a couple of games, they also had some stinkers
Phillips was our most consistent player over the season, I reckon the majority of his ratings were 7 or above with two or three poor shows
So that is how I've rated our players, you may think my ratings are too high or low on some players although I believe I have given a fair assessment on our players performances over a long season
Players that have made more than five appearances
GOALKEEPERS
5.5 Bailey Peacock-Farrell
6.5 Kiko Casilla
DEFENDERS
7.5 Luke Ayling
5.0 Barry Douglas
7.0 Liam Cooper
7.5 Pontus Jansson
5.5 Gaetano Berardi
MIDFIELDERS
4.0 Adam Forshaw
6.5 Ezgjan Alioski
6.0 Stuart Dallas
8.0 Pablo Hernandez
5.0 Jack Harrison
8.5 Kalvin Phillips
7.5 Mateusz Klich
7.0 Jamie Shackleton
5.5 Jack Clarke
STRIKERS
7.0 Kemar Roofe
5.5 Patrick Bamford
6.5 Tyler Roberts

Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
Are they your own personal ratings 64?
Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
Pretty fair those, I knew K. P. would come out on top of your rankings!
He'd probably be second on mine after Pablo even though he's been poor for the last few games.
Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
Agree Haighy I’ve been a big fan of Kalvin’s for many years since watching play for school and Wortley but Pablos the man, but I feel his ratings dropped as he’s obviously burnt out the back end of the season
A bumble bee under the laws of physics shouldnt be able to fly, but it does because no one has told it that it can't
Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
When I get round to my ratings for the season I think Klich will be top dog, then any from Pablo, Phillips, Jansson, Roofe when fit.
but it needs a bit of thought

Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
Voted Pablo as my player of the season on the O/S but he has been really poor/average over the last six games whereas Kalvin's been as steady as a rock

Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
Scores tainted by the second half of the season I fear.
Pablo was unplayable for half of it, nothing came off for him in the last few games though.
Phillips and Klich the stand-outs. Ayling, Alioski and Harrison got better as the season went on. Roofe without injury could have been one of the top scorers in the league.

Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
Klich is my player of the season, PJ a close second. Pablo third and Roofe fourth, I think Phillips is learning the position and it showed for me quite a lot but will probably finish at 5

I wonder if we'll get a £20m bid for any of your four above Phillips mate

Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
We haven't had a 20m bid for Phillips.....as far as I know.

Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
I don't think Cooper deserves such a low score even though he has bottled it in three of our most important games Joejoelufc20 wrote: ↑Fri May 17, 2019 6:44 pm Hernandez 9

Clarke better than Ayling is disputable, Luke has been one of our better players in 2019
Respect your opinion though

Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
We'll see I guess. I'd take 20M for Phillips all day long though.

Team as a whole 7 out of 10.
Special mentions for Klich, Phillips, Hernandez and Roofe.

Un Marcelo Bielsa, solo hay un Marcelo Bielsa. Gracias Marcello. Marsching on together.
Re: 2018/19 Season Player Ratings
Tbf Prem teams need English players in their squads and will pay well over the odds for them.
Lucas Torreira who shone at the World Cup and in Italy for Sampdoria and now is preparing to play a Europa League final for Arsenal, same age as Phillips and same position cost £25mil.
Is Phillips worth close to that? No of course not but he is English.
Transfer values between English clubs for English players dont imo reflect a players actual worth imo.
