Good Morning Everyone

Ex Leeds Utd MD Bill Fotherby has died!

He passed away suddenly on Tuesday night while on holiday with his family in Tenerife aged 88

Fotherby’s crowning achievement was securing the signature of Wilko, persuading him to leave Sheffield Wednesday and take the helm at Elland Road.

Norwich returned to the top of the table with a 3-2 win against Hull last night.

The YEP have reported that Leeds most recent accounts detail £16.1million are owed in player bonuses if Leeds go up, topped up by a further £6.3million of transfer top-up payments.

It is rumoured that January signing Mateusz Bogusz may feature at the weekend against the Blades!

Hi EB

The 22.4 million cost of promotion pales into insignificance compared to the earnings gained from being in the Premier League.

Morning all

Really sad to hear about Bill very sad indeed

Hull put up a bit of a fight early doors in the second half but were over powered by the six fingered canaries

It’s a drop in the ocean compared to what the club will earn

Way he’s played for the 23s I for one can’t wait to see him come on for the last 30 mins and rip the Blunts a new one :)

RIP and greatest respect to a man who performed one of the greatest services one can for humanity; playing a part in the glory of Leeds Utd.

Only one thought in my mind after this.

It is rumoured that January signing Mateusz Bogusz may feature at the weekend against the Blades!

Seeing him play for the U23s, it's clear he was brought in because he's a cut above the norm and he's had plenty of first team experience, even if it's in a 'lesser' league. Considering he's in for the long haul, if Bielsa feels he's ready to be blooded sooner rather than later, so be it.

Ex Leeds Utd MD Bill Fotherby has died!

Condolences to the family. Played a big part in our last successes.

Norwich returned to the top of the table with a 3-2 win against Hull last night.

Usual story in that the opposition hit the woodwork then a couple of minutes later Norwich score with their first shot. Norwich are a much better team when in front as they can play counter attacking. Needless to say how different things could have been if Hull had scored first.

The YEP have reported that Leeds most recent accounts detail £16.1million are owed in player bonuses if Leeds go up, topped up by a further £6.3million of transfer top-up payments.

Not surprised that a lot of contracts are incentive laden and possibly automatic wage increases will be triggered too. People think getting into the premiership gives the club a pot of cash but it is still a fine balancing act, unless you are Man City, as it then costs more to sign players and wages cost a lot more. Very easy for the additional money to get swallowed up and then leave you in the sort of mess that Bolton are in now.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench, possibly at the expense of Brown if MB thinks he is more ready to have a meaningful impact.

Morning EB1 and Everyone,

RIP Bill Fotherby, he is forever etched into our club's history for the right reasons.

There's nothing we can do about Norwich so it's pointless worrying about it.
If they win all their remaining games then they're champions and deservedly so.
But I don't think they will and there will be some ups and downs for the top three between now and the end of the season.
It's all about who can hold their nerve now.
Saturday's game is making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up just thinking about it.
I'll be a nervous wreck on Saturday morning.

Interesting to hear that Bogusz may be in the 18 on Saturday. He apparently had a great game for the U23's on Monday so maybe MB thinks he's ready to step up?
But at who's expense? Either Robbie Gotts or Izzy Brown I expect.

Chilli
