Alioski or Douglas ?

Post by 1964white »

Douglas was signed & brought in as our main LB but has injuries & a loss of form cost him his place in your opinion.

Alioski who played in the left wing-back position prior to his Leeds days has shown great enthusiasm & skills doing a fine job in that role in our recent games

Is that the real question though? Or is it a choice between Douglas and Harrison.

Because you can't drop Ali in my opinion.

Douglas for me, I'm assuming at left back is the question. Both would be in my starting side anyway.
Have a feeling Douglas is about to hit some crazy form in these last 14 Games.

Douglas, Alio is going to concede penalties if he keeps playing left back.

Casilla

Beradi - PJ - Coop - Douglas

Phillips

Hernandez - Klich - Forshaw - Alioski

Bamford

Clarke, Roberts, Halme, Shackleton, BPF, Ayling, Brown

Is our best match day squad with Roofe injured/no longer a striker

Given that Clarke is out indefinitely and that we didn't sign James then the logical option is to move Alioski back into a winger position allowing Bielsa to rotate a bit with Harrison and Pablo (also gives the option of Pablo at no.10). Douglas then slots straight back into left wing back.

Would be really unfair to drop Ali after his recent performances. He has taken a lot of stick during the season (ali offside) but has kept plugging away and never hid from anything. I can't even remember him picking up an injury? Could be wrong.

Ali has been excellent at wing back, but I think our strongest left side would be Douglas and Ali.

They can interchange, so can only be a good thing.
