Emiliano Sala/Cardiff transfer ban

Post by Cjay »

Incredibly sad situation this :(

The striker was on a plane that went missing near Guernsey last night.

Reported that there was Sala and a pilot on it.

Very sad :(

Lot of questions to be answered at another time.

Reports say the plane struggled to take off and had to repeat 3 or 4 times.

Flying experts are questioning the use of a single engine aircraft over a cross channel journey, saying thats not normal because of the obvious risks.

Very sad.

And the family of the pilot often overlooked in these situations. Sad Indeed.

Yes, I didn't know anything about him until he signed for Cardiff but very sad indeed for all concerned

I just dont get that in the modern world of aviation on board checks etc that ANY pilot would think it normal to have a few goes at getting a not overladen
plane off the ground.
It is very sad, but that strikes me as madness

So tragic. Sky Sports have just played a what's app that Sala sent to his group. It's very sad....here goes....
"Hello my brothers, how are you? Boy I'm tired. I was here in Nantes taking care of things, things, things, things, things, things. And it never stops, it never stops, it never stops. Anyway guys, I'm up in this plane and it feels like it's falling to pieces. And I'm going to Cardiff, crazy, and we start tomorrow. Training in the afternoon, guys, with my new club. Let's see what happens. So, how is it going with you boys, all good? If in an hour and a half you haven't heard from me, I don't know if they are going to send someone to look for me because they won't find me, but you will know. Dad, I'm scared"

The plane was registered in the USA and was 35 years old, quite old. It wasn't hired by Cardiff City but by Sala's own people around him.

Just awful, could hear the fear in his voice :(

God knows who convinced him to get on that plane, he apparently had said he felt unsafe before on the journey from Cardiff to Nantes.

Read today that they only just found a plane that went down 50 years ago in a similar area.

Horrible.

It does make you wonder if all light aircraft are serviced & maintained on a regular basis like cars are especially after two similar plane accidents in the last few months

Cant understand what he was doing on a 35 year old plane.

Thats baffling me more then anything.

Thats not normal.

Its usually a private jet or a commercial airliner.

I wonder if he thought he'd chartered something different Cjay? As you say, a private jet?

He'd been on it before Swannie, I'm amazed he agreed to get on it again.

Sad as it sounds, someone was trying to save a few £s.

Only logical explanation i can see.

It wasnt the fastest or safest way, but the cheapest? :(

They found the plane today apparently at the bottom of the sea using some technology.

Very sad situation this.

Now they need to look into it properly because this situation stinks, so many grubby gits with there hands out and Sala and the pilot were the innocent victims here.

There has to be some serious legal ramifications dealt out.

So FIFA order Cardiff to pay the first installment of the Sala fee.

Cardiff take it to the Court of arbitration for Sport.

Behaving with no class Cardiff, disgraceful.

Were more then happy to take all the condolences and Colin was always willing to be interviewed close to tears.
