I think for the first time in a few years we could have a keeper who is a fans fave
if BPF gave a pen AND got himself sent off V Derby that would have been his lot with the fans i think
My my my, such a lot of guns around town and so few brains

I want to start a new challenge in English football and am really keen to start as soon as possible. Leeds United is a really historic club in England with a massive fan base that is perfect and my desire is to help put the club in its real place in the Premier League.

I am really pleased to work with Marcelo Bielsa, I have a lot of information from when he worked in Spain, I watched the teams when he worked there and I talked with former players who worked with him and they all told me amazing things about him. I am really happy to work with him.

Perhaps in 30 or 40 years people will talk about the Real Madrid team I played in which won the three Champions Leagues consecutively. It is true it was a pleasure to be part of, but for me this is in the past now. I need to focus on the future and think about the most important thing for me now which is Leeds United.

Looks a unit. Of what I have seen and read a good shot stopper plus
good on the ball. Just hope he can command the area coming for crosses like the old days. Seems something of a lost art.

I'm really happy with this signing. A couple more of this ilk would be awesome.

Delighted with Kiko.

Can get bogged down in.the "ooo he hasnt played much last few years".

Well if he hadnt been a regular for Macclesfield then I'd be worried.

He hasnt been a regular for Real Madrid, not to worried about that, you got to have something about you to ever kick a ball for Madrid, never mind for them to sell you, monitor you then bring you back.

From reading while at Espanyol he established himself as one of the top keepers in the league.

He was wanted by plenty of the top clubs back then including Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, Liverpool and Sevilla.

Sevilla again tried to get him just 6months ago, thats Sevilla 3rd in La Liga.

I trust Guilem Balague as a pundit and especially as a fan, no bias there, if a player is poor a fan will say so.

Guilem couldn't be more positive about Casilla and he was clearly popular with his Madrid teammates.

This is a real coup, forget the Madrid spell for a moment, if we can find the player that played for Espanyol then we have a top level keeper.

Happy Cjay
Signed

Cjay wrote: Tue Jan 15, 2019 6:54 pm Top 5 Spanish keepers doesnt sound much, but Spain arent England.

De Gea.
Reina
Casillas
Kepa Arrizabalaga Chelsea keeper.
Diego Lopez
Sergio Asenjo
Antonio Adan
Sergio Rico who was Seville 1st choice last few seasons now at Fulham.

To be top 5 basically means aside from the 4 World class goalies Casilla is the best.
Spain have world class keepers, way above any current No.1 British goalies
