Norwich are pants

Post by Cjay »

https://forum.pinkun.com/index.php?/top ... are-pants/

Thought should reply in kind :)

Considering we have taken more points then them off the top half.

Beat them 3-0.

Have a better goal difference.

Have had an injury crisis that started the beginning of September.

Have been playing midfielders and wingers in defence.

I think we are far from pants :)

Decent side Norwich tbf, play good football got some good young players, but we know we can beat them, we already have.

They cant say the same.

Not saying we will be (because who knows with leeds)
But i can say hand on heart. Quite honestly do not think norwich will be in the top 6 come end of season.
Too many games theyve squeaked a late result and their luck will run out.
Plus... we comprehensively outplayed them earlier in the season.

Agree, there are other teams I’d be more concerned with, set up for us to make a break away if we can get a win over villa. Just some luck with injuries, even though 64 seeing Pontus limp of isn’t good news, he didn’t mention any injury on his Twitter post, but one to keep an eye on

Being brutally honest we havent hit top form since we played Norwich back end of August.

But we havent not deserved at least a point all season apart from vs WBA.

We arent scoring goals like we were but we arent conceding many.

The WBA game accounts for 22% of our goals conceded all season.

We are extremely hard to beat and score against.

Not something youd associate a Bielsa side with.

If we can find the goals again then Norwich and the rest of the league could be in trouble.

We know we can outplay teams at our best, but we can also battle.

Norwich can battle and score to but can they stop conceding.

Feared a Pontus injury since Cooper's absence, just hope it's only a slight knock

Just watched the highlights of the Norwich game very lucky to get a draw, appeared Bristol much the better team, at one point the camera scanned the Norwich fans lots of excitement and high sixes going on

When I saw the title I thought "this is pretty classless", but then I see it is in retaliation. Why are opposition fans so desperate to critique us constantly and find excuses lol? It's ironic, as Farke is the only manager who has praised us and said we deserved to win, rather than making excuses or whining.

The goals have dried up, but as long as we're outscoring the opposition, that's the only thing that matters. We've turned into a Pulis team, being hard to break down and keeping it tight, but without parking the bus or timewasting and playing attacking football.

100% Norwich will park the bus at Elland Road.

Sky made a good point about Norwich's defence and how it needs to improve. Sure, them and Villa are scoring goals for fun atm, but the goals will dry up and they will have to rely on seeing out 1-0s, but neither are strong enough defensively to do that. We saw that with West Brom earlier, when the goals dried up they weren't getting wins, as they're not keeping clean sheets.

Very good point

Unsure if our defence will hold up if Jansson's hobble off the pitch yesterday is more than a slight knock :(

Their thread is still going, there is a few voices of sanity (one in particular) but some really odd comments.

Apparently our first 6 games dont count.

"They rely on one or two moments of brilliance in amongst a lot of huffing & puffing, miscontrol & misplaced passing".

All very odd.

Considering we have more possession and a better passing accuracy.

15 scored in the final 15 minutes this season.

10 wins by 1 goal out of 14.

86th minute winner today-3points
93rd minute winner vs Bolton- 3 points
92nd and 97th minute goals vs Millwall- 3 points, won 4-3
84th minute winner vs forest 3 points
86th minute pen vs Wigan- 3 points
80th and 87th minute goals to win vs Preston 3 more points

Not just wins either.

83rd and 94th minute goals to draw vs Birmingham

Got to admire there tenacity, but my god surely you cant win promotion by nicking late goals all season. :flog: :flog:
