Fran Sol is playing in the Eredivisie though and he isn't a European Champion. Maybe he's another player on the radar.

Sol would replace Roofe and push Bamford down to three....

Re: January Transfer Rumours And Squad Discussion
Sol was mentioned a while back and given Bielsa has spoken often about us needing to many chances to score it makes sense.
Pretty unspectacular career though, scoring goals in Holland has been done by some crap strikers.
But ive got my heart set on Sergio Ramos now.

Good point Swannie
He was about 25/26 when we got him i think, same age as Sol now, well bit younger as Sol is 27 in March.
Dont think JFH played in Holland much, made his name in Portugal.
Could just be a late developer like Jimmy

The Eredivisie is hard to decipher. For every Ronaldo, Van Nistelrooy and Van Persie, there's been an Alfonso Alves, Vincent Janssen, Mateja Kezman, Finnbogasson etc. Strikers seem to score bagfulls in it.

Re: January Transfer Rumours And Squad Discussion
Leeds need an attacking midfielder who is able to score goals just as easily as being able to create them and Bielsa should consider a move for West Ham attacker Lucas Perez.
The Evening Standard claim Perez could leave just half a season after joining the east Londoners from Arsenal in the summer, with Spanish side Real Betis said to be interested in the ex-Deportivo hitman.
But Perez is more than just a striker and has showed in recent years that he can also play in the number 10 role. Before joining the Hammers, Perez played from the number 10 role at Deportivo on loan from Arsenal.
He scored nine goals and created eight more in Spain's top tier, and landing the ex-Arsenal ace this month to add cover both up front and in attacking midfielder would give Leeds proper quality in the final third.

So you want us to sign someone who couldn't get into Sheffield United's team (7 league appearances at an average of 22 minutes per appearance) and has then been out injured so isn't likely to be match fit. Baker made 11 league appearance averaging 20 minutes per appearance for us as a comparison.

Hasenhuttl confirms Fraser Forster isn't in his plans and is free to leave.
Please can we have him.

Didn't stop him scoring a goal against us in the cup a couple of years ago.

Highly rated at Liverpool and Wales, very similar player to Jack Clarke as he ghosts past players with ease, Sheffield United style probably didn’t suit him with their centre halves turning up on the wings, could be a shrewd signing and a definite upgrade on Baker and Harrisonweasel wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 5:13 pm So you want us to sign someone who couldn't get into Sheffield United's team (7 league appearances at an average of 22 minutes per appearance) and has then been out injured so isn't likely to be match fit. Not done much since though. Frankly felt he was way over-hyped just cos he was young and scored a goal.
Re: January Transfer Rumours And Squad Discussion
It's another teenager as well. We need a couple of older heads.
Andy King free to leave Leicester. Would be a huge upgrade on Forshaw and Baker, would help out Kalvin as well.

Phil Hay says a GK on his way next week.
Rumours on Twitter saying it's an experienced international GK, but not sure how much truth in that.
Supposedly Joe Hart.
