Cooper and Dallas out for 4-6 weeks

Post by Gandalf »

As per thread title.

Cooper has had surgery in Rome, which went well, and he should be back within the specified timeframe.

Dallas apparently fractured his foot against Sheff U on Saturday. Out for the same length of time. Shackleton pencilled in to replace him on Saturday.

My god how unlucky are we ?

Our injuries are not short-term. I reckon our first team players have already missed 70 to 75 games already

Someone up there doesn't like us :(

but cannot be linked to the training, these are fluke or "game" injuries for the most part not from not enough or too much training

The Cooper news, whilst not good obviously, wasn't unexpected given how we all saw him limp off on Saturday but Dallas as well ?!

Who the hell is going to play right back now ?! Shackleton isn't really a full back so wouldn't advocate him.

Nightmare these injuries !

Let's see how we do without the players who have been slagged off quite a lot this season. Ayling, Cooper and Dallas

Unbelievable!
Dallas had his best game of the season on Saturday as well.
Do we have a recall clause written into Coyle's loan at Fleetwood?
How many players have not missed a game because injury this season? Not many.
Phillips, Klich, Saiz...any others?

Bloody hell!! Cursed! Who goes to RB now? Alioski would be my pick, Bielsa already said he made a mistake with Shackleton at RB at the start of the season, would leave him develop as a CM.

We miss Ayling, key to the way Bielsa sets his teams up

Cooper has been superb this season

Dallas had his best game at Bramall Lane

No we don't have a clause for Coyle, we'll have to wait until the 6th Jan before Lewie can return :(

Cheers, I like 64s suggestion of Forshaw too, allows Saiz back into the team too, at least we have options, kind of!!

When are Ayling and Berardi due back, cant be long now ?

Forshaw at Right Back isnt what I would do tbh Leon but we may not have any other choice. Only other one I can think of is my favourite player Alioski :-(

Yes Alioski is probably the option unfortunately

This headless chicken doesn't deserve a place in our team, hopefully it will be the making of him if he is given the opportunity v the hoops, he's played well at LB.

Time for Ali to shape himself

In fairness to Ali he was extremely good as a left back and showed great defensive awareness probably the best of any full back we have used this season.

He isnt a right back but has said he prefers playing right wing himself and our full backs play like wingers.

Also opens up a chance for Jack Clarke.

Well this is just getting ridiculous. I was thinking to myself earlier if Dallas got injured, who'd play RB?

Do we not have any academy RBs? I think Robbie Gotts is and Hosannah as well, but I think he's injured atm.

We've also Douglas on 4 yellows so we could have only Jansson as a senior defender soon. Saiz and Alioski are also only one yellow away.

Robbie Gotts has impressed me but whether he good enough for the championship only Bielsa & his coaches will know

That's another concern SG

If we lose Pontus we are right in the mire :(
