At 76 its time to relex :)

The Greatest Stand Up Ever imo and certainly a pioneer.

One paper said "The Big Yin retiring from stand up, he practically invented it".

Saw him live in Hammersmith around 20 years ago - he was fantastic.

Never seen him live but I do remember watching one of his stand up shows on tv with tears rolling down my face, up there with the best.
