Said that on the game thread ...I think it's entirely possible that PJ adversely affects Coopers form. Still say our best defence since start of season was the Beradi Cooper onehector wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 12:30 pm Do you think Jansson negatively influences BPF and Coops??
both play better and stronger when he is not playing, so do you think that BPF tries to command his area but Jansson either consciously or unconsciously makes him feel smaller, and less vocal??
Same with Coops....
Just thinking out loud you understand and not having a go at Jansson

I thought Roofe was outstanding & unlucky not to get on the score sheetNorfolkWhite wrote: ↑Wed Nov 28, 2018 12:34 pm Flip side of that I suppose is that if we only beat a poor Reading side who we dominated 1 - 0 and that goal was scored by a defender none of the forward looking players had a great game or we would have won by more?
A nice curling shot just over the bar in the first-half
Lovely header bringing a great low fingertip save from the Reading keeper
Our goal came from his persistence in the six-yard box
His all round game running off the ball & his hold up play was impressive

I'm fairly certain no one played better ...my favourite player of ours by a mile to watch. Just so clever. For me the hardest player to replace atm

Indeed it was fantastic '64. Roofe had a really good game and all round contribution wad immense. Could have had a couple of goals.

Cooper calm & kept his composure.

Re: Leeds v Reading - MAN OF THE MATCH
The way he split the two defenders covering him for the header which bar for a great save would have given him his 9th goal was a thing of beauty. There was also a snap shot that produced another reflex save. The runs into the channels, the movement in the box, the strength when using his body to shield the ball allowing others to come into play. The touch on short passes is sublime and the one Tuesday found it's way to Dallas to score.
Then you add his non stop running, willingness to get back to defend and his ability in the air that helps out the defence on occasions..and he is a very good header of the ball. Much better than say Chris Wood
I can't honestly think of a better striker at ER since the fall...
I also really like Bamford, he gives us maybe the one thing Kemar doesn't and that's goals from outside the box...

Re: Leeds v Reading - MAN OF THE MATCH
I made similar points in one of my posts on this topic Faaip & I'll openly admit I was one of Roofe's biggest critics last season. You wouldn't see Roofe (along with Lasogga) pleading to the manager to come off because he is tired under Bielsa as he is now fit as a butchers dogfaaip wrote: ↑Thu Nov 29, 2018 9:25 am The way he split the two defenders covering him for the header which bar for a great save would have given him his 9th goal was a thing of beauty. Re: Leeds v Reading - MAN OF THE MATCH
That header reminder me of the one Roofe scored at Derby as he glided in the air between two defenders.....one of my favourite Leeds goals this season, beauty as you say Faaip.
