Nilufer Yanya - Miss Universe (Sorry Faaip it started well and I liked the first couple of tracks, but by track 9 her voice was really getting on my tits)
Santana - Guitar heavan redux (not his finest hour!!)
Slade - Old New Borrowed and Blue
Bowie - Space Oddity
Lady Gaga - Essentials ( thought I would see what all the fuss is about...... still wondering !!)
In keeping with modern trends, I have decided to identify as a bedside lamp

It is so illuminating!!

I can see how her voice would annoy some...Her delivery is unusual, the voice for me along with the outstanding song writing is what lifts it beyond the very good

Currently playing Fire of Love by the Gun Club from 1981, reminded by someone on twitter. Forgotten how good this is, punk blues if thats even a genre!

Next up, Our Favourite Shop by the Style Council. Searing social commentary (that is still relevant today) and great tunes from Weller and Talbot.

Blondie 'Parallel Lines' :star: :star: :star: :star: & a half

Arguably their best, haven't heard this in a long time. Nice!

George Benson 'Breezin' :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Have a box set of Benson's albums, saw this in a hard case going for a quid couldn't resist. Great melodic jazzy guitar feel

Charlotte Gainsbourg '5.55' :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

Another £1 purchase & what a cracker from the daughter of Serge & Jane Birkin. No.1 album in France during the noughties, did sod all here in the UK of course. Several songs on this beauty to nominate in the future :-D

Death In Vegas 'Satin's Circus

+

At The Drive-In 'Relationship Of Command'

Two very interesting albums, haven't listened to them enough to give my rating yet. Enjoyed what I've heard so far !

Toyah's (The band not the solo artist) - wonderful Sheep Farming in Barnet. I'd forgotten how good the track "Danced" was ...

Still playing the Billie, still learning every nuance, still a wonderful pop album

Joe Jackson's Beat Crazy, love Look Sharp and I'm the Man, bought them many times but this later "tome" is an under rated listen.

Those artists sound like the beginnings of a plea of not guilty by way of insanity.....

Well M'Lud:
I was guided by voices to dope the lemon, I then saw psychedelic porn crumpets whilst I was having the fling with Mark Mulcahy..... did you know she keeps bees?
