Amazing how Kozelek can turn McCartney's 'Silly Love Songs' into a Neil Young inspired 10 minute distorted noise the way he does.

Two other songs on this album influenced by Young :)

Lots today but it struck me listening to Summer Breeze what a great lead guitar break it has. Marvin Isley. A Soulpersona remix of Ain't that Peculiar great for sunny Weather 😁
Innervisions probably the pick today though.

Joe Sample and Michael Franks ☀

Having a Tom Moulton day, I posted a remix track of The Backstabbers a while back but Tom the originator of the remix and 12" singles, as well as the "Disco break"

Been listening to a fair bit of old school hip hop recently. Had forgotten what an absolutely fantastic album Illmatic by NaS is. Possibly the greatest hip hop album ever made, in my humble........

Also, just discovered this great 2018 American hardcore punk album by Turnstile.........listening to the first 30 seconds doesn't really give you a hint as to which direction this is going to go in........

Finally - not for the faint of heart or the easily offended but absolutely, 100% essential in these times, is the new mini album by Bob Vylan - We Live Here. The title track, which was released as a single a few weeks ago is my favourite track of the year so far, and I don't expect that to change.

Only available to stream now. limited vinyl sold out. I was lucky enough to order the very last copy!

As I say, not for the faint hearted.
