Today have been working my way through a shelf of, these days, seldom played old 12" singles. Last few being:
Monie Love - It's a Shame (My Sister)
Alyson Williams I Need Your Lovin'
The Levellers - One Way
Big Bam Boo - Shooting From My Heart
Level 42 - Running in the Family
Plutonic - Tubular Bells
Shannon - Let the Music Play
Beloved - The Sun Rising
DNA - La Serenisima
J.J. - Slide Away

IMO...I'll preface this opinion with that, By the time L42 released Running in the Family they were a long time done.

Anything by Eels is outstanding as for Level 42, Mark King playing bass live was something no one should have missed ..first 4 albums and A Physical Presence are well worth the listen

Choirboys today as someone on the dark side mentioned Bovver Rock ..which sound to me like good old fashioned pub rock, so had to play me some Choirboys. Pre glam Slade and Sweet apparently the originators

Faithless's debut - Reverence ...which still stands head and shoulders above similar..

Love The Gaslight Anthem's '59 Sound' album which came late to me last year so I thought I give their fourth album a listen, was unsure on initially hearing it, not anymore I love albums that grow on you.

Didn't realise this was out there on you tube...I'd imagine Nick would love this if he hasn't seen it yet/for a while. Don't think I've seen it since it was broadcast..

OGWT - Ian Dury - Blockheads - One hour of goodness - and Wilko too

Great version. Bought the single when it originally came out. Still love it. Better hair transplant than Wayne Rooney too.

Of course, Ghosts is very Eno esque soundscape type stuff for late evening listening but I do enjoy it

I don't have that one. Will have to give it a go.

Prog day today:

King Crimson - Larks' Tongues In Aspic
Yes - Relayer
Pink Floyd - Umma Gumma

Managed to aquire David Gilmores early solo albums from 1978 and 1984

his stuff always manages to relax me, I enjoyed them both.
I'm often accused of acting like I don't care

It's not an act!!

Raise My Rent is one of my favourite guitar pieces of his.
