Sky TV

Post by Cjay »

Have agreed a new deal with the EFL for the rights for the next 5 years.

Some Championship clubs arent happy and are meeting at Villa park tomorrow.

Radz isnt happy he is leading the charge etc.

Fair enough we get a rough deal, we should get much more money given we are on the tv more then almost every club except for 3 or 4 in the Prem.

But nobody outbid Sky.

BT didnt, Radz didnt, soooo yeah.

Parachute payments are ludicrous and makes the Championship ridiculously over funded for clubs that failed.

But cant help but feel that Radz should just concentrate on an easier solution to his issue over the EFL Sky Deal. . . . . Get promoted problem solved.

Football on TV is here to stay and for fans who want to go to games its s**t with the inconvenience of various times of the day and days of the week etc but for the likes of me who support a non league club its brilliant I've seen Leeds numerous times live on tv and looks like I'll see them quite a bit more.
A few clubs don't seem to be happy about the new deal for whatever reason, but will the same clubs be moaning if they get to premier league and the much improved money for being live on SKY?
I'm not really sure why Radz isn't happy considering he's more than happy to pay for the rights for various other countries football.

Guess which team have been on English tele the most this season?

Perhaps its the English Champions . . . .nope not even top 7.

Perhaps its "The Pride of Devon" as one journalist calls them Scummy reds . . Nope.

Or perhaps its the most successful half of Merseyside . . Nope . .

What about Oil funded Chelsea . Nope.

Its us.

14 times.

2 more then anyone else.

4 more times then Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal.

2 more times then Liverpool and Manchester United and Aston Villa who are joint 2nd on 12.

14 times out on our own up front.

No surprise there mate

Baggies, Rams, Blunts, Villa & Owls at ER will probably be re-scheduled too in the next few months

Just a thought

By Saturday evening next week we'd have played all the above challengers away

Just Boro' & Forest aways out of the current top eight in 2019

Yeah i alluded to that a few days ago '64.
We have had a tougher first half of the season than most if not all of the top 8, on paper anyway.
Definitely helped playing Derby and Norwich early on before they got into their stride.

Be a clip of this somewhere later.

Derby vs Forest quite clearly a chant of "Sky tv is f*****g sh*t".

But then all of a sudden a really loud crowd noise, just noise.

But then a Forest player kicked a Derby player up in the air and the crowd noise didnt change.

Sky pump in fake crowd sounds to drown out the Sky tv chant
