The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 18th Oct)

Post by Ellandback1 »

Good Morning Everyone

Leeds celebrate their 99th Birthday today!!!

Happy Birthday Leeds. You've put us through hell in the last 20 years, but haven't regretted it one bit!!!

What is your favourite Leeds Utd moment?

Jansson is back on a plane, and making his way to Leeds Bradford airport aiming to start the Blackburn game - but there are two obstacles!

Hife wife has still not given birth, and he awaits news of any punishment laid down by the FA for his criticism of the referee against Brentford!

Should Jansson not be available to play on Saturday at least we have Berardi. It would also mean that Shackleton would get a game at right back!

After almost two months on the sidelines, Pablo Hernandez is back and raring to go! He, Roofe and Berardi have all been passed fit and are available for selection!

Where does this leave Harrison?

Should he replace Alioski, or has the Macedonian done enough to keep his place?

It looks like Douglas will be sidelined for the next couple of weeks, and whilst he has been one of our most consistent players, I've been waiting to see some of his breathtaking free kicks that made him such a cult figure at Molyneux.

Who should take the left back role?

Dallas?

Pearce?

Alioski?

Good morning EB1 and Everyone,

Happy birthday LUFC!
My favourite moment has to be us clinching the old Division 1 title in the 1991/92 season - we played some stunning football that season.
Which begs the question - which midfield was better: Lorimer, Bremner, Giles,E Gray or Stachan, Batty, McAllister, Speed?
Another fond memory is the 1-0 at Old Trafford in the FA Cup when we were in League 1.

Fingers crossed Pontus is in the starting line up at Blackburn. I know Beradi has done well this season but we really do need our Swedish colossus.
Knowing our luck one of the two 'obstacles' will prevent him playing.

Great news about Pablo, however I doubt MB will start him after that amount of time out and no games for the U23's

It's not what I would do but I think MB will play Alioski at LB, move Harrison onto the left and play Dallas on the right.
I hope I'm wrong but he does seem to like Dallas.

Morning all and happy birthday to the mighty Leeds.
Tough one on Selection. I guess Alioski and Harrison could work. Jansson has to play end of story and likewise Roofe
Put Pablo on the bench. I would start Clarke but he has no chance with Ayling and Douglas out and Roofe/Hernandez just coming back from injury. MB will not make wholesale changes end of story BUT he does know we are goal shy

As for Jansson, I can imagine the FA banning him 5 mins before kick off on Saturday just to screw up Bielsa's plans....cynical? Who me?

One of my favourite moments is the Sheff Utd own goal to give us a 3-2 win away and the commentator saying "are you watching Manchester?"
they were and they folded to give us the title before the last game of the season!
