Hi Folks

Leeds make the 32 mile journey to Hillsborough on Friday evening as Sheffield Wednesday welcome the Mighty Whites.

Bielsa's men are still licking their wounds having been mugged by Garry Monk's Birmingham City last weekend. Will the Wendies feel the wrath of Leeds or will Jos Luhukay's team carry on where Brum left off?

In seasons gone by, it was all too common to see one bad result lead to an avalanche of defeats; surely with Bielsa at the helm those days are well and truly buried.

Leeds will be boosted by the news that Berardi is fit again. The Swiss International (he does have one full International Cap) is likely to start on the bench.

There is a rumour doing the rounds that Roofe may play on Fiday night. Personally, I can't see it.

There was plenty of finger pointing towards Peacock-Farrell. I'm sure the 21 yo will be feeling the pressure, especially with Blackman poised to make his league debut!

Let's not forget, this is a local derby. Anything can happen, and form can be turned on its head. Leeds will need to show hunger, belief and passion if they are to stay in pole position come 5pm Saturday.

I think the goalkeeping situation is a difficult one.
In terms of ability they both seem about the same to me.
Blackman is slightly older but has spent most of his career playing second string football although he was on loan at Sheff Utd last season.
I don't think BPF commands his area well enough and for that reason I think Blackman should be given the nod on Friday as it won't be for the feint hearted.
Despite some dubious defending I thought BPF should have saved both the shots against B'Ham.
However, I think MB will give him another chance so let's hope he has an outstanding game (although with not much to do).

Opposite to my opinion Chilli, I believe BPF generally commands his area very well, his positioning was the reason for his errors v Brum

I'd stick with our young keeper for now

BPF reacts faster than Blackman and Blackman is slow to get down to, I'm not sure he'd have fared any better against two mis hit shots.

Forshaw is fit to start.
Beisla blames himself not Philips.
Acknowledged BPF was poorer vs Brum.
Izzy Brown and Bamford are miles off being fit (the Brown situation is ridiculous imo).
Roofe is very close.
Pablo and Berardi are close (not as close as Roofe).
Bielsa talks about why he is responsible not the players (Hecky oh dear).
Talks about how similar Klich and Forshaw are.
How Saiz is the sort of player who can make a difference by himself.
And many more in depth tactical things.
Alioski next
Bielsa gives the players confidence.
Surprised Bielsa took responsibility and the players like that, but they know they wernt good either.
Talks about how Bielsa is different, its clear his team of minions do a lot of the training ground work.
Ali is fitter all the team are fitter and you can see the results on the pitch with the work rate.
Ali reasonably pleased with himself but says he works hard every day to get better.
Wants to do better in attack, implies the defensive side of his game is natural.
Its new for him to always play left side.
Praising Jack Harrison
Talks about Bielsa hating losing and clearly works them hard after a defeat.
The players didnt press enough vs Birmingham, they recognise what they did wrong.
Thinks we play the best football :)
We were lucky to win sometimes last season but this season is different.
Ali expects a reaction similar to Norwich.
Players are stronger mentally.
Praises Bielsa and his coaches for changing the mentality.

Head coach Bielsa's thoughts on Sheffield Wednesday.

Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa spoke to the media ahead of Friday’s Sky Bet Championship Yorkshire derby with Sheffield Wednesday.

The Whites are looking to get back to winning ways at Hillsborough after a first defeat of the season last Saturday.

Bielsa took responsibility for the loss against Birmingham, but is hopeful of a positive result in South Yorkshire.

“The formation was a decision I took and it was a wrong decision, the reality of the game indicated that I didn’t take the right decision,” said Bielsa.

“I won’t change any of the players.

“After the game we lost, we asked some questions together and we built our conclusions together.

“We have had two training sessions where the players have expressed themselves and the conclusions are positive ones and I have a lot of hope going into Friday’s game.

“You don’t react in the same way after a win, than after a loss, whenever you lose, you always want to win and if it is a derby, the will power to win increases.

“Sheffield Wednesday are a team with many possibilities from a tactical point of view

“Their tactical differences are not only linked to their defence, they also have different possibilities for their offensive players and strikers.

“They have many offensive players with different features and all have played this season.

“They can combine together in different ways and play in different positions.

“We will have to adapt to how they play and how they are positioned, but I think our defensive line is efficient enough to face this team.”

Should be Phillips vs Bannan tbf since Bannan plays deep like Phillips.

Klich has a higher pass average, loses the ball less, makes more tackles, has more goals and assists.

Polish Iniesta everytime

Think we struggle when opponents play two strikers.
Birmingham, Millwall.

Wednesday dont they seem to play 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1.

Our best performances have been against those formations
Derby, Stoke, Norwich,Preston.

It suits us, we have the overload vs the striker and Philips or whoever there to.

I think we may beat them.

If Stoke and Hull can get draws there why cant we get something?
