i will worship him if he gets this great club where it rightly belongs.
We are playing the best football I've seen from a Leeds United team since our premiership days '63leic white 63 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 3:24 pm i will worship him if he gets this great club where it rightly belongs.
And I fully expect us to react very differently to a loss than we have in previous years.1964white wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 3:39 pm We are playing the best football I've seen from a Leeds United team since our premiership days '63
Yes I want promotion but my demands from Hecky's time at Leeds was for our players
- to show more effort & make us more competitive
Bielsa has not only done that in the nine games he's been at ER he has taken us to another level, a standard of football I never thought I see again from a Leeds side, fans are now getting value for money when they go through the turnstiles.
- I now have hope
- I now expect us to win games
- I now get a buzz again in anticipation of watching Bielsa's Leeds
i wouldnt say hes taken us to another level just yet mate. we only 9 games in . not denying we not playing some good stuff but to be honest 64 we have also been ordinary in others . time will tell if we have the squad and manager to get us promoted. i sincerely hope so !1964white wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 3:39 pm We are playing the best football I've seen from a Leeds United team since our premiership days '63

I really thought we had excuses at Swansea where we played with no specialised CB, lost the energy of Ayling down the right as he was pretending to be a CBleic white 63 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 4:42 pm i wouldnt say hes taken us to another level just yet mate. we only 9 games in . not denying we not playing some good stuff but to be honest 64 we have also been ordinary in others . time will tell if we have the squad and manager to get us promoted. i sincerely hope so !
wasnt that good against rotherham. we struggled for large periods especially the first half. yes we won the game but the performance wasnt that great.1964white wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 4:53 pm I really thought we had excuses at Swansea where we played with no specialised CB, lost the energy of Ayling down the right as he was pretending to be a CB
Millwall was a decent performance especially without some key players
Both Swansea & Millwall games the balance & fluidity of our team suffered due to the missing players
Only downer for me was the Brum game, even at 0-2 down although I couldn't see us winning the game I did think if we scored early in the 2nd half we could grab a draw. Unfortunately with so many players out of form & the cheating antics of Brum plus a poor ref conspired against us.
The Millers parked their bus in our half as did Boro' which makes it very difficult for any side to break down no matter how good a team is. Even the likes of Man City, Liverpool, Spurs, etc struggle in some games. I enjoyed the game so it can't have been that badleic white 63 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 5:22 pm wasnt that good against rotherham. we struggled for large periods especially the first half. yes we won the game but the performance wasnt that great.
according to the stats ! according to the stats on sat we had 17 shots i was there against rotherham and we was very lucky to go in half time 0-0 . they had a couple of great chances . stats are misleading. like i said it wasnt a great performance.1964white wrote: ↑Tue Sep 25, 2018 5:48 pm The Millers parked their bus in our half as did Boro' which makes it very difficult for any side to break down no matter how good a team is. My match rating - 7.0 out of 10
Our stats for the Rotherham game suggest it wasn't a poor performance.

id personally would put the norwich and the preston performances well above the rotherhams . i think we have to agree to disagree on this . looking through rose tinted glasses spring to mind ! end of the day its all about opinions 64.
one move in that match had barcelona written all over it. shame saiz didnt score would have been goal of the season. agree 64 better second half and we all went home happy.
Well, let me try to make the translation...rab_rant wrote: ↑Sat Sep 29, 2018 7:30 am I just came across a Spanish video about Bielsa. I did not understand a word of it.
Well that is not true there was one word I did understand and that was BIELSA.
I don't think we fully understand the passion he has generated in Argentina and Chile.
You get commentators fighting in the studio over him. You get players singing
his praises, you get fans chanting his name at matches, you get flags with his name
on it. I really encourage you to have a look at this video, you don't need to understand
what they are saying, I promise you that the passion and fervour will speak to you more
than the mere eloquence of words... and you will see Bielsa smiling and cracking jokes
that has everyone laughing, and even singing the tango. We have a gem on our hands,
and we do not fully recognise what we have got.
