Let's knickstart knocking our players after a few games and look at the positives. Ok we lost some say unexpectedly, that's the league. Not easy getting a clear run at it. I think Bielsa 's amazing doing what he's about even after only a dozen or so games. On the pitch we are trying and depleted we are up front , what we are lacking is the creativity of s player that can change a game .... but hey that's surely obvious we should . In not one for knocking Leeds players and young Philips is what he is a grafted and Klich maybe as well. Give 'em a break and a season to be proud about Leeds fans. Defensively we will concede our keeper is still a kid , Jannson and Cooper are probably getting flack but you will have noticed how much more discilplned there becoming, Can only be a good thing .Bring on derby game MOT.

Yet we created about 8 chances ...
dont know what match you was watching fella had lots of possession but we hardly created anything of real note never mind 8 !. alioski had a half chance towarwds the end of the first half and ballooned the chance well over .one or two pee rollers and there keeper made a good save at the end shame bpf didnt do the same for there first . dont want to be over critical but imo it was a poor performance today considering the standard we have set ourselfs. oh and the ref was s**t. just wasnt to be but 3 points against sheff wed and all will be forgotten. mot.

BPF unfortunate with their first, which changed direction (mishit or deflection). Adams shaped to shoot across goal, so BPF was going to his left already - anticipation is a good quality in a GK, and that sort of thing happens against the best. Not sure he could do much about the second either. Adams did well to turn and shoot quickly (should probably have been dealt with by our defence) and although it wasn't a screamer, it did keep low and go in off the post.

Sounds like a bad day at the office and that we had a couple too many off colour performances. You can usually carry one, but in this system it doesn't take much to look disjointed. We're also without two players who really made a difference in the first run of games in Pablo and Roofe, and without our second choice striker. I think Berardi is a loss, but Jansson is a more than capable replacement and will improve the more he plays in this system.

Brum were likely to come here with the mentality to disrupt our game and we're successful in that. Time wasting, cynical fouls, dives etc won't always go as unpunished as they did today... I never understand why players (keepers in particular) only get bookings for time-wasting late in the game - it's the same amount of time regardless where it comes in the match!

On to Wednesday on Friday and hopefully back to our fluent best.

Agree '63 we were really poor limited to few half-chances. one really good save from Dallas & Alioski's fine strike for the goal & a clearance off the line in the first-half were the nearest we came to breaking Brum down.

Our form will return at Hillsborough

I was surprised we even scored :o

When you take Hernandez, Roofe, Berardi, Klich & Phillips out of our first XI it shows we are a lot weaker without our big players. The rhythm, balance & form will return once we have our original twelve or thirteen players to call upon !

Goals play such a big part in football - much more so than in many other sports where the better team will win all the time - and we gifted them a 2 goal start. In a few of our games the opposition have had a chance to score before us and those matches may well have turned out differently as it is always easier to play our style of football when the opposition has to do more than simply sit back and defend a lead.

Last season our good start hid some of the flaws in Felix Wiedweld's goalkeeping (or more it wasn't as important as we were still winning) and that for me has been the case with BPF this season. His positioning in the build up to the first goal was awful let alone letting in the actual shot and he should have done better with the second - a decent keeper is saving that. As a defender he would not fill me with any confidence and when that happens the whole defence gets jittery.

We have to hope that the team has learnt from last year and matured. We will hopefully not allow one defeat to turn into a bad run. Same as last year we are not a surprise package any more and managers have had enough chance to do their homework and come up with strategies. Many of our players flattered to deceive early last season before returning to what many thought of as their true ability or performance levels. Phillips started last season well, so did O'Kane, Lasogga had a couple of matches where he looked awesome, the defence looked reasonably solid, Saiz was on fire. Too many parallels so far to last season and we now have to hope that Bielsa can get them back on track quickly. No point just talking the talk we have to do it on the pitch.

had to lose sometime but to lose to birmingham at home and the way we lost was a bit tad disappointing. a reality check for some. home games do worry me at times , make no mistake most teams will come to elland road this year and make things really tough for us . its up to us to break teams down only way imo is quick precise passing high tempo and pressing which unfortunately wasnt there yesterday. along with the players you mentioned think also izzy brown and bamford will be key players for us come mid season. roll on friday and 3 points.

Our form will return at Hillsborough
Forshaw shot
Ayling across the face of goal
Alio at the far post late
Dallas shot
Ali's goal
Saiz 2 blocked shots in good position

There's 7 in about 5 seconds ....I'm sure there's more.

I'm not convinced by Roberts even though he scored 2 against Preston.
I feel he is likely to fall down the pecking order once Roofe and Brown are both fully fit.
I think MB bringing Edmondson on shows his intention to start him at some point soon, could it be on Friday?

The goals were pathetic to concede, just watched them again.

1st one- Che Adams lays the ball off, takes a few steps, about 4 across the pitch, the player who was stood next to him ball watches, Adams is left on his own and then the shot, deflected or not was pish poor and BPF is to blame, you cant let those go in.

2nd- Phillips with a poor pass, he then is far to easily skipped past. Maghoma gets it, Jansson i think it is backs off, lays it off to Adams, Douglas dangles out a leg, then a weak shot wrong foots BPF, he probably should have done better here to.

But its poor stuff all round.

BPF should save the 1st, whoever the player stood next to Adams is should have followed him.

Philips shouldn't have played a poor pass, he then definitely shouldn't be skipped past that easily, as the dm he protects, he didn't. Jansson shouldn't back off, and Douglas shouldn't just dangle his leg, BPF perhaps is unsighted but it was a weak shot.

Got to track runners, got to defend better, got to pass better :(

Roberts showed some great footwork yesterday, on 2 occasions putting our players in great positions, Alioski crossing one straight to the keeper when he had loads of time to do better, the other Saiz, running into trouble when he had 3 players to pass it to in good positions with space. Tried really hard but not much came off for him in the box.

We could do with mixing it up a bit. Ali and Klich haven't had a rest yet as they've played every game and the two internationals, Phillips and Saiz have played every game. 11/13 games in a month and a half is a lot. Tiredness must come in as a factor at some point. We have some decent options we've yet to see Baker, Forshaw, Dallas, Pearce, Clarke we should use them.

Forshaw shot - good controlled effort from distance but straight at the keeper
Ayling across the face of goal no one there to put the ball in the net
Alio at the far post late never looked like Ali was gonna get to the ball, very difficult chance
Dallas shot Apart from the goal, great effort & a fine save from Camp
Ali's goal Ali took his goal well
Saiz 2 blocked shots in good position one was going in, unsure about the other

There's 7 in about 5 seconds ....I'm sure there's more.

Posted on this topic earlier we can't win every game, even Super Wolves lost 7 games, the polished Cottagers lost 8 & Warnock (out of their depth) lot lost 10 last season.

Once we have Pablo & Roofe back the fluency of our play shall return. As you say Brown & Bamford will play key roles when fit again

I'm not worried or concern one bit even though I expected us to win yesterday's game.
