Must be frustrating for Newcastle fans when the have a net profit of £21 Million in their transfer dealings this summer to see their owner splash £90 Million. Likewise Spurs, £400 Million on a new stadium and not a single transfer in this summer.

Not all rosy even if you reach the Premier League, football clubs still require significant external investment even with all the revenue that comes in.

IIRC Hof was part owned at least by it's workers, there's also a hotel on Brownsea Island they can use as a perk. Wonder what happens to that. Also HoF known as one of the few quality outlets left seems to have been bought up by the sporting equivalent of the pound store. Somewhat incongruous.
