The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tue 17th July)

Post by Ellandback1 »

Good Morning Everyone

Leeds start their first of six pre season games this evening against League 2 outfit Forest Green.

It is unknown what kind of team Bielsa will field against Mark Coopers men, but you'd imagine the pressure will be on the Whites to produce a good performance and comfortable win.

It is thought that new signing Jamal Blackman will start in goal

Thoughts?

Boro have slapped a 15m price tag on Britt Assombalona. The 25yo Congolese International netted 15 times in 44 appearances for the Smoggo's last season.

Value for money?

We are no further forward to knowing who the two mystery Premiership and Championship players linked to us actually are.

Who think's we'll know today?

Derby are tipped to sign John Terry. So much for them being cash strapped....

Bielsa may get a shock after the first few friendlies

Don't think we can take much from the kind of games we have lined up pre-season

Boro have slapped a 15m price tag on Britt Assombalona. The 25yo Congolese International netted 15 times in 44 appearances for the Smoggo's last season.

would feel hard done by paying half of that

Be interesting to see how we set up tonight - got to be chances for those fringe players who will more than likely be required with the trimming of the squad.

Assombalonga way overpriced at £15m, would have thought £10m nearer the mark.

I don't think we'll see mystery new arrivals this week, seems very quiet on the rumour and gossip mill - just doesn't feel like there's anything brewing.....note to LUFC, please feel free to prove me spectacularly wrong!

And lastly - Derby are welcome to JT, looked significantly past it last year the few times I saw them play + he's only fit half the time - lazy signing.
