Good Morning Everyone

According to reliable sources (and the Mirror), Leeds are in advanced talks to sign Derby's Matej Vydra.

The Rams need to cut their wage bill following their disappointment of their play off defeat against Fulham.

Other newspaper reports say we are still trying to sign Hernandez?

Would it be greedy to go for both?

We heard yesterday that Leeds were trying to sign Citeh sensation Phil Foden on a season long loan, well, the talk is Angfus Gunn may be a permanent deal!!!

I'll believe it when I see it!!!

We've gone from the likes of Nicky Ajose, Adryan, Wooten and Ruchubka to potentially signing Hernandez, Foden, Vydra, Foyth and Gunn...

Pick a player

Alan Smith

or

Jermaine Beckford

and

Lee Bowyer

or

Olivier Decourt

In my opinion it would be crazy to sign both forwards. It would basically be our while budget for the summer surely

Beckford and Bowyer - speedy skilful predators with bottle.

Love the fact that we are being linked (no matter how reliable the source) with a much higher calibre of player than we have been in years. Will we get either player? Who knows, though do think wages are going to be a stumbling block. Would certainly be happy to see young Foden here, the lad looks a bit special. Interesting summer ahead!

Beckford and Bowyer, they'd have made a huge difference to us this season past

Morning Paddy,

What a team we had back then.

Shame Smith left the club like he did.

The club had to sell him, manchester united offered the most amount of money, and Smithy even gave his 1m signing on fee to Leeds Utd.

Even so, Smithy gets a bad rep.

Morning 1304, Beckford was always poor when he played against us. It was like he didn't want to do well against us...

The chemistry he had with both Kandol and Becchio was great.

I'll be a lot happier when the paper talk changes into signings..

Morning Matt,

Haha, yeah, he pulled his punches against us, didn't he? And gave the Leeds salute on more than one occasion!!

Nature of the beats in the close season, there's so much paper talk. I hope we tie up whatever deals we are involved in early so Bielsa can get to work with the players he wants.

Watford are prepared to listen to bids for Troy Deeney of around the same fee as Vydra, always was a thorn in our side. Could be another option up front.

Morning Gessa, didn't Watford turn down a ridiculously high offer for Deeney a season or two back?

Memory gets clouded but somewhere in the back of my mind, I think Leicester offered £35m and it was turned down. Out of favour there now. Saw him at Walsall in his youth, good player then too, his dad was Leeds fan. TD has a soft spot for us because of that, not that you'd know the amount of goals he scored against us.
