The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 15 June)
Good Morning Everyone
At 00.15 this morning, the news that we have all been waiting for finally arrived!
Marcelo Bielsa has agreed to become Leeds Utd next Manager.
He has accepted the ER hotseat, and will be earning 2m per year plus bonuses!
He will fly to England a week today, ready to take charge of training on the players first day back.
At this stage there are more questions than answers:-
i) We assume its a one years contact, in case things go horribly wrong!
ii) We don't know who the backroom staff are going to be, or how long it will take to get their visa's
iii) What becomes of Orta?
iv) How much control will Bielsa have?
v) What will the budget be?
Plenty of questions, very few answers, but one thing for sure, put your seatbelts on folks, its going to be a rocky ride!!!!
Who is Leeds top priority in the transfer window?
Hernandez
Vrdra
Bartley
Gunn
Messi (just kidding?
Pick a Manager
Grayson or McAllister?
and
O'Leary or George Graham?

Good morning Matt
Bielsa is without doubt a massive upgrade on the previous coaches we've employed.
Now he requires the tools to work with to allow him to make Leeds great again.
I do think we could be looking in a different direction for players now so none of those may not end up at ER

All a waiting game, fingers crossed he gets the time and he delivers, anything else is just guess work at the moment.

Great on the face of it, but it kicks up question after question to do with staff and players to sign and ones to go
I just hope the season doesnt start Frank De Boer style with players not being able to play the style he wants and the results going south fast
Oh! Good morning all

Bielsa: "When a club with Leeds United’s history made me an offer, it was impossible to turn down. I'm excited for the challenge ahead and I look forward to collaborating with Victor, Andrea and Angus as we work hard to achieve great things at this football club.”

Morning Dalton, Bielsa has set out his demands very clearly, hence the negotiations took so long, its going to be a VERY busy fortnight at ER...Dalton wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 8:55 am Great on the face of it, but it kicks up question after question to do with staff and players to sign and ones to go

Fascinating stuff even if you think it is a bad or strange appointment. Wonder if season ticket sales will be up?

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 15 June)
Yes because he is thinking big with this appointment, now Radz needs to back Biesla & allow him to get on with the jobEllandback1 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 8:12 am Good Morning Leon, are you more optimistic about Radrizzani now?
Even Radz will know last season was a total disaster, maybe he has realised you can't run a big club like Leeds United with tinpot appointments & average signings & expect to be successful. The writing was on the wall from day one !

Spot on Dalton, nothing is guaranteed !Dalton wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 8:55 am Great on the face of it, but it kicks up question after question to do with staff and players to sign and ones to go

This should be a massive boost for season ticket sales. It's a statement of intent and whatever my personal thought are regarding the likelihood of success, it's the first statement of intent for many many years
"Never debate an idiot, they'll only drag you down to their level and they have the advantage of experience"
Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 15 June)
I suspect he was horrified if he watched clips of our players last seasonEllandback1 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 8:56 am @PhilHayYEP

Time for the big girl blouses to make way for some powerhouses, hopefully losing 50/50 balls, strolling around the park & players generally stealing their salaries will be a thing of the past
