How about a predicting the finishing order (from 1st to 24th) of the league comp ?

Point for each correct, with bonus points for getting LUFC's position correct

...although I guess this would/should go on the Predictions Forum

Good idea Cat :moggy: I do think we should wait until a couple of weeks before the start of the season when hopefully we'll have a good idea which teams are making significant signings & also any managerial changes

Would you like to run the competition Cat ?

I'll be setting up a World Cup competition shortly to keep us amused during June

Great, I'll sort. But as you suggest 64 best waiting a few weeks yet.

Circulated our World Cup prediction comp at work today - gives people a couple of weeks to give it some considered thought.

Hmmmm! Not in a position to keep him, it sounds as though Villa were hoping to retain his services...Jack Grealish the next to leave I wonder?

Thnk Villa are in real trouble, comments from there fans and owners suggest sell sell sell.

They could very easily become the next us, not saying to the same extent financially but more stuck in the lower leagues for years and years.

Paul Hurst good coach, preferred him to Soggybottom.

Frank Lampard the new Derby boss- not sure what to make of that. But i suppose he will get loans from Jose at the Reds and Chelsea will help him out.

Graham Potter looks like being the next Swansea boss- Think we missed out there, cant claim to know much but watched Ostersunds vs Arsenal and they were brilliant. Fast slick football, changed formation and styles a few times in the match and still looked organised.

Good appointment from Swansea if it happens.

Don't know of this Potter fella Cjay

As for Lampard it's a strange appointment I believe, great players don't always make good managers

Rowett left the rams because their owners didn't have his ambition

Michael Dawson joins Forest from the codheads

Dawson was easily the MOTM in our abysmal game at the KC Stadium last season

Me neither really, just what ive read.

A small Swedish team in the Swedish 4th tier, took them to the top tier and Europe.

Took them through the group stages of the Europa League, earning a draw with Bilbao and beating that horrible unmentionable Turkish team on there way to Arsenal.

Beat Arsenal at the Emirates, played lovely football that night, dont know if you watched it?

I suppose the argument is well hes never managed in England, but he has played here, decent lower league playing career, so its not alien to him.

He has more accolades then Hecky and for some reason Hecky is regarded as a "talented young coach", Potter has certainly earned his shot.

With you on Lampard, they are appointing him for his name and playing career, he has diddly squat in terms of coaching to back him up.

But i suppose he has a wealth of managers to call for help, his Uncle Arry, his dad, Jose, Capello etc etc.

Edit, maybe he will bring Harry and his dad in ? knocking on a bit but wealth of experience there.

Marco Silva is the new Everton manager (not championship news i know but still).

Interesting to remember David Wagner was Radz 1st choice in the summer.

He approached Silva we are told.

And according to Joe Rawson we asked Espanyol for permission to speak to QSF in the summer and were turned down.

Maybe Radz does know a good coach when he sees one.

Forest reportedly going down the Wolves route.

Linked with a club record deal for Joao Carvalho.

And a loan move for one time reported Leeds target Diogo Goncalves.

Sounds like another TC, but because he's English he'll be higher rated and there will be no mention of no Championship experience.

There will be a few clubs jumping on that particular bandwagon, it won't work for all.

True.

Goncalves seems the pick, Benfica fans seem very high on him.

Other lad not so much.
