The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 30 May)
Good Morning Everyone
It has been revealed that Leeds had an agreement with Swansea back in April to bring Kyle Bartley back to Elland Road on another season long loan.
However, due to their relegation, the Swans decided it would make no sense to lend one of their first team players to a rival club.
A perminent transfer has been agreed between the two clubs just shy of 4m.
Antonssen could be the first senior Leeds player on his way out of Elland Road this Summer. The 27 year old who has scored 8 goals in 34 appearance whilst on loan at Blackburn last season, is surplus to requirements.
Swedish outfits Hammarby and Malmö are both interested in the striker but his £15,750 weekly wages could be an issue.
Over 60k a month for Antonssen's wages!!!!
Lasogga has committed himself to his parent club Hamburg.
“I am a HSV player and I have another year on my contract,” Lasogga told German newspaper Bild.
“That is why I currently assume that I will be in Hamburg for the start of training.”
Apparently it's got nothing to do with his 3.5m wages!!!
Leeds are weighing up a 6m offer for West Brom's winger James McClean.
The 29-year-old Republic of Ireland international consistently refuses to wear a poppy on his shirt for the annual Remembrance Day commemorations.
Which player would you rather have back at Elland Road?
Howson or Snodgrass?

A year too late, pretty obvious he was only going to play a minor role in the premiership.Ellandback1 wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 7:01 am Good Morning Everyone

As long as Bartley is fit & ready to start the season he is just the leader we need in our team

8 goals in 34 appearances in League One is not great for a strikerEllandback1 wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 7:01 am Antonssen could be the first senior Leeds player on his way out of Elland Road this Summer. Great pairing.
Imagine if we had kept them together.
Could we have secured back to back promotions in your opinion?

Decent winger at this level, made over 150 appearances in the premiershipEllandback1 wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 7:01 am Leeds are weighing up a 6m offer for West Brom's winger James McClean.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 30 May)
Was sad to see Jonny leave Leeds. Not that fussed about Snoddy, young Pearce had him in his pocket at Villa Park
Howson for me !
Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 30 May)
Forshaw would be my captain if we don't sign BartleyEllandback1 wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 9:18 am Morning Leon, a no brainer when it comes to Captaincy too....

Very likely as we just missed out on the play-offs that season without JermaineEllandback1 wrote: ↑Wed May 30, 2018 9:41 am Great pairing.

No Matt
Grayson in the 2010/11 season, missed out on the play-off by three points.
Jermaine would have made a massive difference
Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 30 May)
Would love McLean at Elland road, he’d put some fight into our game. Very average premiership/international, but a top championship player, McLean, Saiz and allioski has a lot of cards in them though!!

GOOD SIGNING IF HE STAYS CLEAR OF INJURY

HOW HE ACHIEVED WAGES OF THAT AMOUNT IS A MYSTERY TO ME

Afternoon Bert
Do you think both Howson and Snodgrass would improve our team.
If they did help us get promoted, do you think Howson, Snodds and Bartley are good enough for the Prem?

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wed 30 May)
Afternoon Ell,
A fit Bartley back would be a great move, captain material and already knows PJ and Ayling's game.
Antonsson always looked to lightweight for me, despite having some decent movement. No loss to us if he goes
Good finisher, but a lazy sod, Hamburg are welcome to have him back!
Contentious individual who, from what I've seen of him, is often overly aggressive on the pitch. Decent player at this level, but no use if he's suspended and his politics (whilst his own business) might not endear him to the faithful, particularly if he isn't delivering. And, if he's that effective at this level, why would the Baggies sell him?
Tough call, with Jonny being a Leeds boy etc, but I'm inclined to go with Snoddy. But only just!

Since leaving Snodds hasn't really hit top gear consistently like he did for us.
Did we get the best out of him or is it more he can't perform at a higher level?
Tough choice between Howson and Snodds. Imagine if we still had some of our former players, the likes of Howson, Lennon, Milner, Rose, Cook, Wood and Delph.
Where would we be then?
