The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Fri 18 May)

Good Morning Everyone

Leeds Utd will release their retained list today.

The list will be a indicator of the clubs ambition over the Summer and beyond.

Rumour has it that Pearce has refused a new contract, and may very well be departing shortly.

Leeds have been in communication with Pearce's agent over the last 48 hours with an improved contract, but will it be emough?

Who do you expect to be on the list?

Yosuke Ideguchi has been named in Japans preliminary 35 man squad, but will he make the cut?

At least he has the oportunity...

Leeds are keeping a close eye on Liverpool youngster Yan Dhanda who is out of contract shortly.

Although the Reds have offered the 19 year old left sided midfielder a new deal, Dhanda wants to start afresh.

Swansea City are also interested in the Midfielder.

Morning all...

I’m just hoping the first signing or two in doesn’t have me rushing to Wiki

Morning batty
First off wood leaving was massive
It's been downhill since then.
A marker needs to be put down now
Rad needs a talisman manager not a mediocre Yes men.
Karanka or Allardyce would be a good fit
Not the prettiest but it's not a pretty league ask the Cardiff city.
Wolves obviously played their way out of it
But with the reet man in charge look what Cardiff did..
Laying a marker for me would be going for Mitrovic or Gayle both or available and score goals at championship level.
As it stands they're charging premier league prices to watch s**t and a total lack of ambition

One of Liggy's more sensible posts & a top one indeed Spartan

What liggy said. I firmly believe the first thing we should be doing is getting in a manager with some sort of positive reputation, a name who will make it easier for us to attract the type of players we need to get us out of this league. Who would you rather sign for, Feckingarse or Billic/Karanka/ (for example)?

Good morning Matt

I expect us to retain the majority of our lazy average dead legs which is par for the course at Leeds. How many of our quality/best players will go is a major concern for me ?

I see we are one of the last clubs in with the retain list, silly meaningless tours & boxing events consuming too much time of our owners.

Remind me we are a football club aren't we ?

Morning Leon, I suppose Radrizzani wants as much income as he can generate from ER. Let's hope at least some of the income goes into our transfer kitty....

Morning Liggy, we definitely need a marquee signing or two, dare I say we the fans deserve it...

he's only played 5 games and we still get compensation for him anyway even if he leaves - so him not signing a new contract isn't a big deal. the club were going to let him go in the summer anyway

Yes, he's only played 5 games, but those who have seen him play seem to be in agreement that the boy is a bit special and looks to have all the attributes to make it. We never adequately replaced Charlie Taylor, why let what appears to be a ready-made replacement go? Faaip may have slightly exaggerated with 'huge', but Pearce is the sort of young player we should be striving to keep.

Orta reads a "summer signing wanted list" at a press conference
"that guy is dead" says one of the News Hacks
"I will cross him off then" says Vic

someone let me know when we have dumped 10-15 deadweights and bought a couple of decent additions. Until then i am off to the pub

Kyle Bartley latest - has indicated to Swansea that he wants to leave. Swansea prepared to sell at the right price. Leeds first choice for him. Rangers also keen.

Almost verbatim what they said about John Gruden.
