Player Of The Year 17/18.

They have released the nominees.

Pablo Hernandez
Kemar Roofe
Gianni Alioski
Samu Saiz
Or young Toby Nye.

Now, I'm sure the intentions were good, Toby deserves a truck load of awards.

They could have named the award after him.
They could have named the dressing room after him.
They could have given him his own special award

Theres tons of things they could have done.

But this?

Cynic in my thinks they were concerned about Pablo winning then leaving.

So tried to turn what would have been bad PR into good PR.

Got it very wrong imo.

Agree CJay. as bad as things have been for Toby, this devalues the award.
Naming the award after him would have been very fitting.

Get these sick people out of our club.

They can take money off you.

I've never known an owner play up to the meatheads so much.

Even though the badge got a massive negative reaction they've carried on doing it, they can't help themselves.

Part of me thinks that nobody really deserves it. Pablo's the best of the bunch but he still hasn't had a "great" year. Coming up with a shortlist must have been really difficult. Roofe doesn't get in the side at full strength. Alioski had a brief hot spell but has been cold for months. Saiz got a 6 match ban for spitting and with hindsight probably got away with it the first time he did it. Even without young Toby the shortlist is an embarrassment. I'd vote for the young kid because the players don't deserve it.

Our club gets more tinpot by the day. Even under Cellino things were never this embarrassing.

This is exactly the attitude they're playing up to.

The young kid doesn't deserve it either. He deserves health and happiness and the best care and treatment, but not Leeds United's Player of the Year award.

I've never known a club show such a lack of respect towards its players, is it any wonder they're not performing?

I support my club Leeds United as I've done through all the doldrums, mismanagement & lean years.

It is what true football fans do no matter how bad their club/team is, just look at many of the League 1, 2 & National league clubs where fans follow their team religiously even though they have never enjoyed any success. As I've said previously the best thing about Leeds United is our fanbase :scar1

A blatant attempt to try win support by tugging at the emotional strings - pretty pathetic.

Still at least this way everyone will forget about that silly badge idea of theirs.

How could someone whose reign started so well just continue to descend into farce?
- sell Wood for instalments rather than outright fee.
- insult our history and fan base by ruining our badge.
- sack TC.
- appoint a manager with 1 win in 16 games and act like you've just appointed Pep.
- say you're going to do a Wolves, then your manager says it's more likely to be Millwall.
- continuing to employ the worst manager in our history.
- now this farce.

How much do you want to bet it will be clappers next?

Definitely should be on there. Top 3 for me with Saiz and Pablo. Just shows how fickle our fans are now, as he's unable to single handedly carry our defence.

I've insisted from day one about my reservations with Radz, he hasn't got much right to be honest. All his decisions have put our club in a right pickle

Cellino left our club in a better state than it is now !

Yeah. I'm worried about our financial position changing, as he's already stated the wage bill has gone up by £7m. We seem to throw money around on players that might make it, rather than improving the starting eleven.

Cellino was embarrassing for changing managers, but Radz has shown he's no better. Cellino wouldn't have sacked TC and would've already sacked Heck.

Those three are the players we should be building the team around

Even quality players are dragged down to a poorer level when they average team mates around them. Those & apart from the likes of BPF, Pearce & O'Connor I don't give a monkeys chuff if the rest are moved on. Sadly won't be the case though !

There all just jealous of Ali

On a serious note though, for a first season in a new league i dont think he has played badly. :)

Indeed he would

To be fair I doubt Cellino would have employed either gauging by his two previous appointments
