You fancy a crack at being a player manager? Can't do worse than the one we currently have.

On another note would you be happy if we signed 28yo Rhodes ?
Was a prolific goalscorer up to a couple of years ago, not sure we could afford him as he must be on a high salary.
Personally I've never been that impressed with him although he's obviously has a goalscorers instinct

Thought he was older than that. Should be in his prime now. Wages would be a stumbling block I'd think.

Personally I really wouldn't know . Its one of those - he could refind form and turn out to be brilliant, its an expensive gamble . He could turn out to be burnt out at 28 . I don't think current manager and management would gamble . Potentially better than anything Leeds have at present , but is he shot to bits already at this young age ? I don't think Leeds is the place he will rediscover his form , not under the current way of playing .1964white wrote: ↑Tue Mar 20, 2018 11:04 am On another note would you be happy if we signed 28yo Rhodes ?

Yes - there is also the salary thing against him as well .

Re: What was Orta saying to Jordan Rhodes ?
Rhodes has lost his way, and would probably benefit from a change in club. A stable, progressive club with a plan and a willingness to pay the going rate might take a chance on him and maybe rehabilitate him, but we're not that club. I'm not averse to a salary cap or structure but, even in the championship, £25k (as ours is reported to be) means we will invariably miss out on proven talent. You don't lose that goalscoring instinct, but something's not right with him. Maybe has just been at the wrong clubs at the wrong times, but maybe he is burnt out? It would be a gamble, salary aside, and we don't or won't gamble. Though you could argue that Orta's scatter gun approach is just that
