EFL to investigate Heckingbottom appointment?

Post by Clive »

Should the EFL look into the appointment of Paul Heckingbottom as Leeds United manager?

He was such an obvious downgrade on the previous manager that questions need to be asked as to why he was appointed.

Phil Hay wrote an article in the YEP stating there are more questions than answers after Heckingbottom's month in charge, should the authorities be the ones asking the questions?

Why did Heckingbottom sign a new Barnsley contract just days before Leeds came calling?

Why did Leeds want to pay compensation for someone with such a poor record?

Even if it comes down to a simple matter of incompetence on Radrizzani's part, it's time the EFL put pressure on owners to look after their clubs better and stop such whimsical appointments.

You mean like signing a third rate manager from a league in Cyprus? Also with the title you infer that we are going to be investigated for signing the "Heck"

Again also do we really want the even more incompetent FL looking into everything we do?

So we are not being investigated by the EFL, all in Clive's head then.

Looks like another thread I'll have to merge into the main Hecky topic only two down from this one right now

I would say PH had a more proven track record than TC at this level. I agree that I dont think he is the right man for the job, especially given his recent form, but an investigation by the FL. Come on!

Anyway, I thought you didn’t pay attention to anything Phil Hay said?

I would love Heck to go on an unbeaten run until the end of the season.....I'd love it

Not gonna happen though as we'll get mullered down at Craven Cottage in April
