O'Kane talking the talk...
You'd really think he'd be keeping a much lower profile at the moment, bearing in mind his form and the club's current situation. Just wish he'd keep quiet, roll his sleeves up and do something constructive on the pitch. Actions & words spring to mind.
Probably realises his place is in jeopardy & he's creeping round the gaffer in his bid to play against Wolves

Re: O'Kane talking the talk...
I like O’Kane but his form this season has been as bad if not worse than Bridcutts last season, needs to step up or move out

Re: O'Kane talking the talk...
He is right though, we have underperformed.

HE is the main culprit though , others have had on-off performances , he has been off from around the 6th game onwards .I dread his name on the team list , give up as soon as he is mentioned as playing . HE HAS underperformed , maybe he should state that ( haven't read the article as yet ) or is this a roundabout way of saying that . Needs time away from the first team to build confidence, at the moment he is shot to bits and getting worse every game - if thats possible .

Too lightweight, gets knocked off the ball far too easily for a defensive midfielderClacton White wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 12:45 pm HE is the main culprit though , others have had on-off performances , he has been off from around the 6th game onwards .I dread his name on the team list , give up as soon as he is mentioned as playing . Powder-puff player
You can see why the Cherries let him go !
Re: O'Kane talking the talk...
But if he's not good enough then he's not good enough rather than underperforming. In any event I doubt he was absolving himself when he said that we were underperforming.Clacton White wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 12:45 pm HE is the main culprit though , others have had on-off performances , he has been off from around the 6th game onwards .I dread his name on the team list , give up as soon as he is mentioned as playing . Re: O'Kane talking the talk...
He should just be silent, he has been useless since September.
If Hecky starts him vs Wolves then he should be sacked just off that, it will show the weak, clueless, hopeless selection that you expect from a man who had a team 21st.
There is no way O'Kane and Phillips should start vs Wolves, nor Anita. So lets see, if they do then its going to take one hell of an explanation after the inevitable hammering.
O'Kane isnt good enough, never has been never will be, he barely played in Bournemouth promotion season for a reason, he wasnt good enough, Monk played 2 kids ahead of him for a reason, they were better, how on gods green earth he got Orta to give him a 4 year deal i'll never know.

Absolutely not a defensive mid.

We've had out of their depth managers creep up to the fans for years.1964white wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 10:45 am You'd really think he'd be keeping a much lower profile at the moment, bearing in mind his form and the club's current situation. It's nasty to single out players like this, he covers every blade of grass and isn't afraid to speak up and put himself at risk of sniping from the likes of you.
We've had better players give less, play worse and hide here. Cut him some slack.
Re: O'Kane talking the talk...
Sorry he is poor, headless chicken comes to mind, he is far too lightweight to be a defensive midfielder, yes there is no doubting he is a trier but that applies to many players, there is no way we'll be successful with O'Kane & Cooper as part of our spine !Clive wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 10:28 pm We've had out of their depth managers creep up to the fans for years.

There's even less chance we'll be successful with Heckingbottom as manager, yet not only are you not giving him stick, you were talking him up until Friday.1964white wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 10:54 pm Sorry he is poor, headless chicken comes to mind, he is far too lightweight to be a defensive midfielder, yes there is no doubting he is a trier but that applies to many players, there is no way we'll be successful with O'Kane & Cooper as part of our spine !
He's not playing himself as a defensive midfielder. He looked better in a 4-2-3-1, it's 4-4-2 that's really exposed him, especially without a defensive midfielder alongside him.

Re: O'Kane talking the talk...
A 4-4-2 didnt expose him, he was playing crap well before that, he did very well in the first half dozen games but then he just got worse and worse, even when he has time he just hoofs hopeless ball up front to no one, he's so lightweight its untrue. I find it weird you're so damning of someone who's been here for a month yet back players who have been useless since September..

Re: O'Kane talking the talk...
You do have one thing in common with PH, you both think O'Kane is a decent player. Are you sure you don't like Heck? Seem to hold a lot of the same views ..Clive wrote: ↑Mon Mar 05, 2018 10:57 pm There's even less chance we'll be successful with Heckingbottom as manager, yet not only are you not giving him stick, you were talking him up until Friday.

Who was the second striker Friday btw? Was Alioski supposed to play up front?

Re: O'Kane talking the talk...
He was good at the start of the season, there's a player in there. Maybe he's guilty of trying too hard and trying to do everybody's job.
How many times do we see players get slaughtered here and then they go to another club and do well?
I don't know what was going on on Friday, it was just a mess.

Everyone has been using the hopeful hoof under him.
O'Kane has been part of a promoted team, Heckingbottom has never finished above 14th at this level.
Re: O'Kane talking the talk...
A very small part he only started 8 games.
O'Kane is crap wont ever be convinced otherwise.

Re: O'Kane talking the talk...
O'Kane had been hoofing and playing crap well before PH arrived. Like ive said before I don't hold much hope in PH being a success, far from it but you're support of players who are playing badly just doesnt add up. Your promotion arguement isnt a good one. He being in a squad that got promoted 2 seasons ago doesn't make him a good player now.
