Burton vs Leeds- Team/Report/Ratings
The start of an important 6 days for us.
Christiansen said after the Hull game that Saiz is fit to play in this game .
Team I would go with time to rotate a little bit imo:
Wiedwald
Berardi
Jansson
Cooper
Borthwick-Jackson
Vieira
Klich
Alioski
Saiz
Hernandez
Lasogga
Subs: Lonergan, Ayling, Shaughnessy, Phillips, O’Kane, Cibicki, Roofe
Phillips apparently came off on Saturday partly because he wasn’t feeling 100% for that reason I would rest him for this game and give Klich a deserved chance in the team.
A slight change to the back 4 to allow Ayling a rest and also allow a right footer at RB and a left footer at LB.
4 changes does sound like a lot but I do think we need to be proactive about freshening the team up a little bit.
With 3 games in quick succession and us being towards the start of a run of 4 games in 9 games should we be looking to rotate the starting 11 a little bit?

Unsure how much TC trusts some of his players to make too many changes but you make a great point Oscar. I do think O'Kane will come in for the unwell Phillips
Klich will start v Newport !

I think it would be a mistake to drop Pawel
I think he is just getting into his stride.
During the last game Eddie Gray mentioned
that he tracked back 60 yards from the right hand
side of the pitch to the left to put in a tackle.
That shows dedication and commitment
and that is what we want.

Would imagine 1 or 2 changes at the most and couldn't envisage Klich or CBJ coming in barring injuries/illnesses - would imagine they would both be gone when the window re-opens. The rests will likely come v Newport with at least 7 or 8 changes.

I reckon it could be a total different X1, at least ten changes imo!weasel wrote:The rests will likely come v Newport with at least 7 or 8 changes.

Game is on ESPN3 here in the states; Leeds are on almost half the time on that network.

A lot of shots off target

Not good, the usual turgid stuff.
You can't expect to keep winning when we play so poor
Next goal really important!

Re: Burton vs Leeds- Team/Report/Ratings
Our midfield is missing 70% possession but too many misplaced passes
They are now sitting back and holding what they have got, and trying
to hit us on the break. 5th place teams against one that is just outside
the drop zone. Has to up the tempo and attack at pace if we are to
get anything out of this. Burton have lost last 7 games at home.
Late booking for Berardi for two footed challenge.

That was a red card offense. Naylor should be gone.

Lasogga on for Cibicki.
What's the thought process behind that? Size for speed, perhaps?
