Brothers In Arms is a haunting song, the best off their album with the same name, up their with Sultans of Swing imo !

but for me it has to be New Years Day from 3rd their album War & also featured on one of the best live albums of all-time 'Under A Blood Red Sky'

U2 were one of favourite bands in the early 80's, their raw, edgy sound did it for me at that time.
The Edge was the reason I loved the band, not only a superb guitarist he was also an accomplished pianist as proof on the following clip, he is one my musical heroes from the 80's
