Passing on the 60s for now; to try and narrow the choice down to two from the best decade in music history (imo) will be a Herculean task!!

70s Jam - In the City, Clash - White Man in Hammersmith Palais

80s The Smiths - How Soon Is Now, Echo & The Bunnymen - Ocean Rain

90s The Verve - Lucky Man, Pulp - Something Changed

ah ... another thread where Gandi's favourite songs can get ridiculed. Let's start off with the easy ones.

60's
The Nice - America
Led Zeppelin - Dazed and Confused

70's
Yes - Yours Is No Disgrace
Genesis - Firth of Fifth

80's
Marillion - Incommunicado
Delapsus Resurgam - When I fall I shall rise!

Very difficult some of that especially the seventies where the likes of Ronstadt's Someone to Lay Down Beside me was put in three times. After the Eighties there are less "great songs" as pop/chart music turned to garbage mostly and the best music found on albums within the context of the album.

60's

Eight Miles High - The Byrds
Fresh Garbage - Spirit

70's

Then Came the Last Days of May - Blue Oyster Cult
Are Friends Electric - Tubeway Army

80's

A Forest - The Cure
Straight Outta Compton - NWA

90's

Wide Open Spaces - Mansun
Roads - Portishead

2000's

Waiting around to Die - Be Good Tanyas
Pure Pleasure Seeker - Moloko

2010's (just in case)

In Hell I'll be in Good Company - Dead South
Outta My Mind - B.o.B featuring Nicki Minaj

70s - Blonde Heart of Glass she was my first true teen crush
80s - The Jam Strange Town - the sound track to my late teens as I travelled throughout the UK with the RAF
90s - Paul Weller - Changing Man just me

This was so hard choosing one from each era especially the 80/90s I love loads plus I’m a massive Northern Soul fan so have a huge record collection

Can I dee my first ditto
