I agree that a lot of today's music is disposable, but think the in answer to Cat's question, quite possibly it's the age of the posters on here, it was the golden age for most of us.

There are lots of fantastic musicians around today but you really have to search for them

Without the internet/6 music/Jules Holland we'd struggle to find the good stuff, the monthly Mojo magazine is a good source for my new music too!

Pop music is generally woeful in comparison to decades gone by, it all sounds the same!
