Why haven't they bid then? He was linked with Cardiff, which would be a poor move, but that's it.

Is he the replacement for Torreira though? I'd be amazed if he was a starter for a Serie A club, it's a big step up from the Championship. They're buying him on potential and to sell to a PL club for a huge fee in a few years.

He is certainly being signed as a potential replacement.

I hope we get the big sell on fee clause but why would sampdoria agree to it. Also nothing to stop him moving for free when his contract runs out there and then we would be left with zilch. Think the 7 mill is to pay for bamford.

From reading that there is no question that he wanted to go, he clearly didnt.

He wanted to stay and considering he went to a bigger league for double his wages that speaks volumes about his love for the club

So he was forced out the door, talk of him being touted around before Bielsa so i dont think it was a Bielsa decision.

This is a decision that will either look like good business or absolute lunacy.

My money is on the latter.
