Leeds v Newport - Team,News,Reports & Ratings

Post by gessa »

Time to give a few players a run out. The problem will be who to play up top, Roofe for me, he scored for fun in league 2 so against league 2 opposition give him a chance, also time to give Klich 70 minutes on his quest for mztch fitness also bring back Vieira.

........................Green...........

Dobbo......Cooper......Shaugnessy.....CBJ

..............Vieira........Klich

Alioski.........Saiz............Dallas

.......................Roofe........

Assuming that Ekuban is out I can see TC fielding fairly much that line-up but perhaps giving Alioski a rest with Sacko getting a game.

I think this will be TC's line-up:
........................Green...........

Berardi....Shaugnessy.....Cooper....CBJ

..............Vieira........Klich

Sacko........Saiz............Dallas

.......................Roofe......

But being lower league opposition, and our shortage of an out and out striker, I'd like us to rest Cooper, and do this:
........................Green...........

Berardi....Shaugnessy......CBJ

..............Vieira........Klich

Sacko........Saiz............Dallas

............Doukara...........Roofe......

TC needs to bite the bullet & select Doukara Bridcutt for this match, they are still part of the first team squad. We can't afford anymore injuries to those who are likely to start in the first XI so we need to minimise that possibility as far as we can

Green

Anita Shaughnessy Cooper Borthwick-Jackson

Bridcutt Vieira

Sacko Klich Roofe

Doukara

With the above team we are only risking two of the line-up which started v Sunderland

If he doesn't pick Doukara it has to be Roofe

Can't see Bridcutt playing if he's off to Forest.

Looking likely mate but surely Bridcutt won't be allowed to play for Forest on Saturday if he signs for them this week

Whilst he is still on our books he has an obligation to play for our club

If he goes I would play Gomes in midfield

I would think if he signs this week there may be a clause that he can't play Saturday. Is Gomes suited to that role, i actually don't know what position is his best.

Hmmm, thought 'd already posted my team last night - must have somehow deleted it before submitting, eejit! Anyroads, I've changed my mind since then anyway, ha ha:

Wiedwald
Anita Shaughnessy Jannson Borthwick-Jackson
Sacko Klich Vieira Dallas
Doukara Roofe

Gone for a 4-4-2 - gives TC the chance to look at The Douk and Roofey up top. Hope Klich gets a go, see what he can do, and think Jannson needs some time on the pitch

Desperately hoping we keep Bridcutt, average last season of course but never looked fully fit to me after his injury in August. I still believe he has the quality to play a big part this season particularly in the big games and when we get to the busier points of the season. Would seem crazy to me selling him to a club who are looking increasingly likely to be a rival for promotion. If Bridcutt wants to stay and fight for his place we have to keep him imo. Bridders did well when he came on v Port Vale, can't forget his impact on the team during his first 12 months here when he came back into the team last December we went on our best run of the season. He's just what Forest need and I hope we don't give them him.

--------------------------------Green--------------------------------------

Anita-------Shaugnessy-----------Cooper-------Borthwick-Jackson

----------------------Bridcutt--------Vieira----------------------------------
-----------------------------------Klich------------------------------------------

Alioski---------------------------Roofe-----------------------------Dallas

Subs: Wiedwald, Ayling, O'Kane, Phillips,Saiz,Sacko,Doukara

Slight change of shape, as Roofe can't play on his own in a 4-2-3-1 needs the 4-3-3 to allow Alioski and Dallas to get closer to him and Klich to control the game.

If Bridcutt is staying, that could well be the lineup
