Who do we want in the championship next season ?
assuming we don't make the play-offs
Key final League One fixures to be played on Sunday
Bristol Rovers v Millwall
Rochdale v Bradford City
Southend v Bury
Millwall sneaked back into the top six even though they lost last weekend so we need those horrible urchins to draw or lose with Southend & Rochdale hopefully getting the necessary points to overhaul the 'Wall

Makes no difference to me, we'll be in the Premiership ;)
Seriously though, it really doesn't matter to me.

Re: Who do we want in the championship next season ?
Blunts are already up so Bradford City & Scunthorpe United would be my other two choices
Three easy travel matches especially Scunny being on my side of the country
Bradford would ensure two bumper crowds & a great atmosphere
I've done all the top eight grounds with the exception of Southend which I've never managed to get to mainly due to being played on Tuesday nights
So something to look forward to next season even though we are not visiting Old Trafford, Stamford Bridge, Anfield, etc.....lets face it if we can't cope with opposition such as Burton, Bristol City, Brentford, etc what chance do we have in the premiership, plenty of batterings i suspect

In respect of which grounds you get to visit? I can see that. As for who'd be easier to beat, no one knows

Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.

No easy games... etc
Makes no difference - we should be beating all of those teams but probably won't.

I have a feeling that derby games are generally tougher for us - player quality and tactics go out the window and the result is even more unpredictable than for other champtionship fixtures. For that reason, I'd prefer non-local oppositions.

Agree, M'Boro and Sunderland looked doomed with the possibility of Hull plus Sheff Utd and poss Bradford and Bolton, plus if Hudds and Sheff Wed don't get promoted it will be a tough season geographically wise as regard( localish) derby games.

Yes Bolton is a good away done Fleetwood in the League Cup last August so not bothered about that one, anyway we don't want to give Rosler the opportunity to get one over us.johnny wadd wrote:deffo not millwall

Millwall can stay where they are in L1, I don't want them anywhere near the championship !
Welcome to the forum Johnny, happy posting

Re: Who do we want in the championship next season ?
Totally agree. I don't like derby games as the opposition lift their game to try and get one over on the mighty whites as its their cup final. The Derbies always bring out the worst in the other teams supporters as well. I would prefer teams from anywhere but Yorkshire and Millwall. But I suppose for our travelling fans, the nearer the betterabundegas wrote:I have a feeling that derby games are generally tougher for us - player quality and tactics go out the window and the result is even more unpredictable than for other champtionship fixtures.
