Fulham v Leeds - Team/News/Reports/Ratings
The next two matches v Fulham & QPR will probably decide whether we have a sniff of grabbing the prestigious 2nd place in the championship. Should we win both games, the prospect of the Seagulls heading to ER on the Saturday 18th March becomes a real mouth-watering contest with all to play for. Am I dreaming ?......probably !
Still scratching my head with the team selection
Does Monk stick with Hernandez or does he hand Roofe the No.10 role
If GM starts with Pedraza I'd be tempted to stick with the Spanish connection. We need some flair upfront & not be totally reliant on Wood. Playing both Doukara & Dallas only stunts our attacking play
I'd go with :
Green
Ayling Bartley Jansson Berardi
Bridcutt Phillips
Doukara Hernandez Pedraza
Wood

Sticking as always with my sig, especially now Pedraza seems to be ascending. I do think he'll be inconsistent though.

I'd change The Douk for Roofe but either way I think we should win this MOT1964white wrote: Green

Re: Fulham v Leeds - Team/News/Reports/Ratings
I think we need to stay solid to a certain extent therefore I'd include Doukara or Dallas in our midfield who both do the dirty work well. Having another flair player in the team maybe one too many with Hernandez & Pedraza in the first X1 too !Ratscoot wrote:I'd change The Douk for Roofe but either way I think we should win this MOT

I've noticed out centre forward is being called by his correct name, rather than plank these days.
Re: Fulham v Leeds - Team/News/Reports/Ratings
That is probably because he is now playing well and not standing around like a plank as he was last season....
Monk has brought out the best in him methinks....

Monk certainly has done that . When Big Chris Wood first arrived at Elland road he needed to score goals and be adept at holding up the ball. He has done this in abundance and more attacking , defending and shown how much he wants to do well at all of his game. Garry Monk should take a lot of credit for this.

I'd go with the team Ges put up, Dallas offers more defensively than Doukara, If only he had more confidence in himself going forward

What happened to don't change a winning team?
Re: Fulham v Leeds - Team/News/Reports/Ratings
I've gone with the team that scored the 3rd goal v Birminghamjindy30 wrote:What happened to don't change a winning team?
Phillips changed the game when he came on & gave us more energy & spark than the man he replaced O'Kane. Pedraza also gave us a more offensive option than the hard working Dallas.
I personally thought the balance of the side was ineffective for the first 70 minutes at Brum as we were outplayed for much of the game, we barely got out of our own half Monk wasn't happy with the performance so making a couple of changes maybe necessary as we can't afford to sit back & adsorb so much pressure especially as Fulham's strike-force with Martin & Aluko up top is likely to be more clinical than Brum's forwards.

Wow, World record for Cliches and stating the bleeding obvious in 5 minutes?

Gary Shaw would give Mr Sibot a run for his money
Re: Fulham v Leeds - Team/News/Reports/Ratings
difficult to predict as monk seems to favour a rotation policy amongst the wingers - and to a lesser extent the centre mids
would be surprised if he sticks to the same starting line up as the last game, pedraza and sacko I'll go with, the rest the same as vs birmingham

Great friends with Dodi and Di... believe me, It's true, Okay?
Great people, the best. Used to have Earl Grey and cream scones
at Harrods. Wonderful building... tremendous traditions, that's what
I love about the British, but that statue of Jackson was too much... way too much
and Geller well I told Fayed ditch him... looser. Club can't do the deals
11 million for McCormack... worst deal ever. I should have handled the
negotiations. SO SAD!
Melania great friends with Slaviša Jokanović... Serbs and Slovacs... best of friends
thinks Fulham players too soft... too many sushi bars in London... no nutrition
in that asiatic stuff, need toughening up with a good goulash... no match for
Yorkshire pud... told Massimo to stop with the cocaine in the pasta, and Rads
agrees with me... give Pontus his Swedish meatballs, Pablo his Jamón ibérico,
recipe for wins... as Field Marshall Montgomery would say... army marches
on it's belly. Bad food... bad lives... Believe me It's true Okay?
Big win... tremendous win... Antonsson to make a surprise appearance... sharp
as a tack these days... Pep rates him. Pep is Monk's Poyet... It's true

Just about to set off for this one. I would bench Hernandez for Roofe. Midfield of Bridcutt, Phillips, Doukara, Roofe, Pedraza.
Hope that the twitter rumour that Wood and Ayling have not travelled is untrue.

Just about to post this, we could cover Ayling with Taylor being fit, but Wood we would really miss.Gandalf wrote:
