Green
Coyle, Bartley, Bamba, Taylor
Diagouraga, Murphy
Dallas, Mowatt, Roofe
Wood
Mowatt behind Wood to start with. Antonsson can probs play that role as well.
I doubt Berardi is fit enough to start, so he might just make a sub app.

Re: Leeds United v Atalanta - match day thread
Anyone heading to ER ?
Re: Leeds United v Atalanta - match day thread
#lufc team vs @Atalanta_BC: Green, Perico (trialist), Bartley, Bamba, Taylor, Diagouraga, Vieira, Mowatt, Dallas, Roofe, Wood.
Re: Leeds United v Atalanta - match day thread
So Monk is looking at Perico over playing Coyle (who he's presumably seen enough of) and Viera gets the nod over Murphy...
Re: Leeds United v Atalanta - match day thread
any streams at all?
Every game I predict a 3 - 1 Leeds win, I am traditional like that.
Re: Leeds United v Atalanta - match day thread
I hear Thom Kirwin is still calling our No.9 Woods
Atmosphere as poor as as ever at ER

It is a pre-season game against opposition few people care about...1964white wrote:I hear Thom Kirwin is still calling our No.9 Woods

Probably our best signingfaaip wrote:2-1 Leeds, Roofe.
Vieira the other standout performer, was impressed with him when he came on in the last 15 minutes at Preston

I agree with 64, Viera had a great game. Full of energy and some great tracking back. Roofe was impressive, Antonsson didn't get time to show what he can do really and our Italian trialist looked good enough, but nothing earth-shattering.
My concerns were with Bamba and Diagouraga. Although both made some decent tackles and there was a great goal-line clearance from Bamba, neither of them seemed able to make a pass today. If we could manage to get a reliable passing foundation from their two positions with our new pace up front I think we could have the basis of a very good team.

Contrary to some i have reservations about Diagouraga, think he is a squad player only. Brentford improved without him last season. As for Bamba he is hit & miss, expect more calamities throughout 2016/17drsdadsotherson wrote:I agree with 64, Viera had a great game. Full of energy and some great tracking back. Without Bellusci to crucify this season, think Bamba will get any more grief for his mistakes?1964white wrote:Contrary to some i have reservations about Diagouraga, think he is a squad player only. Re: Leeds United v Atalanta - 2-1 Final
Not much to add to what DDOS has put other than I thought we tried to play football with some nice neat passing and good running. Viera certainly looked a cut above today and Roofe has a few tricks up his sleeve.
Not a bad attendance (11,832) for a friendly priced at £12 adults which I'm pretty sure would have been higher had it not been for the ridiculous £5 extra on the day.

That's a bit naughty for a friendly, infact any game tbh Richrich_leeds64 wrote:Not much to add to what DDOS has put other than I thought we tried to play football with some nice neat passing and good running. Viera certainly looked a cut above today and Roofe has a few tricks up his sleeve.
