That Piano break on Stevie Nix is immense and perfect right there

The only band ever for me to start with 4 10/10 albums ...then they added a 5th..

Tubular Bells, Different Class and Dare also crept into my thinking 64, but for my nomination I'm going with the rip-snorting stonker of a classic (in every sense) album that is:

Black Sabbath - Paranoid

'in every sense' other than the cover artwork, which is absolutely cr*p

I'll nominate the first LP I bought because I couldn't afford them until I started my first job in 1970. Funny how times have change as kids at school have apple phones & they are more likely to purchase a car when they are first employed. I still wouldn't swop my childhood/adolescent years for anyone even though we had next to nothing materialistic-wise :-D

Absolutely love the 2 you recommended plus the Night On The Sun ep Strangers To Ourselves is excellent too. The rest have more highs than lows but not in the same class as those.

Struggling to decide between many of the classic albums, so I'll go for a new one.

Myles Kennedy - Year of the Tiger.
Delapsus Resurgam - When I fall I shall rise!

Premiership/Championship Poll rules

At the beginning of the competition each player nominates one album

Advisable to nominate classic album or ones you think may do well unless you wish your choice to end up bottom of either league

So if there are fourteen albums in each league each album has a thirteen matches

Each player would choose their winner of each match

Each round of matches to last for one week only so we don't have the competition dragging on

Two points for a win, one for a draw

At the end of the competition which should last about six months we would have a promotion/relegation situation.

Are you up for the long haul CW,there are 13 rounds of matches, the competition means you voting on a regular weekly/maybe two weeks basis ??

I miscalculated the promoted/relegated issues from last season so a few changers are required. Also we need to play an extra match in League Two.

So far we have in the respective leagues :

14 albums in the Premiership
14 albums in the Championship
14 albums in League One
15 albums in League Two

Premiership

LA Woman
Bends
London Calling
Crime Of The Century
Led Zeppelin 1
Whats Going On
Dark Side Of The Moon
Led Zeppelin III
The Trials Of Van Occupanther
Sgt Peppers
The Courage Of Others
Velvet Underground + Nico
Dummy
August And Everything After

Championship

Harvest Moon
Live At Leeds
Aerial
Beggars Banquet
Low
Small Faces
Exile On Main Street
Pet Sounds
Rumours
Horses
Surfer Rosa
Funeral
Whos Next
Forever Changes

League One

Whatever People Say I Am
Diamond Dogs
Very Best Of ELO
Ten
Never Mind The B*******
Look Sharp
Blood On The Tracks
Ocean Rain
Back to Black
Urban Hymns
Sketches Of Spain
Hunky Dory
Imagine
Exodus

League Two

()
The Division Bell
'Foxtrot' Genesis BB
"Something Else" Kinks Bob
'Paranoid' Black Sabbath Cat
'Separation Sunday' The Hold Steady Faaip
'Year of the Tiger' Myles Kennedy Gandi
'Good News For People Who Love Bad News' Modest Mouse Ges
'John Barleycorn Must Die' Traffic John
'Out Of Time' 'R.E.M. Mrs 64
'Extricate' The Fall Norfolk
'Bridge Over Troubled Water' Simon & Garfunkel 64
'Juju' Siouxsie and the Banshees 1304
'The Raven' Stranglers Clacton White
'The Crack' Ruts Durly

Meanwhile I suggest you all familiarise yourselves with the new additional albums in the competition

In Clactons White's case even more albums to listen to 8-)

Horses & Surfer Rosa are reinstated into the championship

Urban Hymns & Sketches Of Spain are reinstated into League One

Just require another album for League Two now

May have to pull someones name out of the hat unless Azkal fancies joining in ??
