I base managers purely on results, so Redfearn is as good as any. Results might not be instant but at least he'll unite the dressing room. There's no theories or formulas for which managers do well at which clubs. Allardyce and Pardew were being hounded out by their fans and are now instant somewhat heroes in their respective clubs. Pellegrini was flying high last season and can't seem to get the team gelling; keeping their head above water based solely on results. Van Gaal was a master tactician, but is struggling to plug a leaky defence and to get some of the best strikers in the world scoring. It doesn't matter if your British, foreign, old, young, successful, inexperienced, tough, friendly, etc. etc.; you must be a right fit for the club, the players and the league you will be playing in.
I know some people are under-awed by Redfearn being made permanent, and I know some would rather have a foreign coach in, but that doesn't matter to me. I want someone who is passionate about Leeds and who is going to get this plethora of talent at Leeds playing to the best of their abilities. As I've said before; Redfearn is that man.
