breaking news on sky sports website
Leeds sack head coach David Hockaday just six games into new season ,it says ore details to follow.
Re: breaking news on sky sports website
yep he's gone....... who do I owe this tenner to
Re: Hockaday Sacked: Official
Cellino's comments on the matter make him look relatively sane for once:
Redders in temporary charge.“I’d like to thank David for his efforts over the last two and a half months, but the results since the start of the season have meant we needed to act and make this decision. After the defeat at Bradford I realised that my decision to keep David at the club following the defeat at Watford was wrong and I had to change my mind on the coaches position. As a club we will now begin our search for a new head coach.”

The only problem was how long it took to do it.

Re: Hockaday Sacked: Official
Surely Redfearn has better credentials than Hockaday anyway?
The travesty in all this is that whilst Hockaday walks away jeered and laughed at, Cellino stands blameless. If we were winning, would the fans be praising Hockaday or Cellino? Next move is crucial. Many aren't expecting us to transform into league champions overnight, but we need to stop being a laughing stock.

Re: Hockaday Sacked: Official
So how many 'Head Coaches' will we get through this season, given Cellinos track record he is just doing what comes naturally no matter who is in the job !
Re: Hockaday Sacked: Official
I do feel bad for Hock, but better to part ways now, than later. I don't think Cellino stands blameless, he's been very upfront the whole time owning the club. I hope he can make a better choice this time.

Cellino took a gamble and lost.
At least he hasn't tried to stubbornly keep going to salvage any pride.

Rolando Maran is to take over
Re: Hockaday Sacked: Official
I reckon employing Hock was part of Cellino's cunning plan with the knowledge that his tenure as LUFC head coach would be short-lived. MC didn't want a manager during the transfer window, someone who would be looking to bring in his own players.
I suspect the new manager/coach will be installed on the 1st September once the transfer window is shut !
As for the new man at the helm I reckon he will be an Italian coach which is logical I suppose !

Re: Hockaday Sacked: Official
Cellino has either been cafty, installing a relatively cheap custodian while he improved the squad, or he messed up. Either way, it doesn't reflect well on Leeds United or Cellino. His next move must be to install a coach that the fans, and most importantly, the players, can get behind and respect.
