Tbh I wouldn't be at all surprised if Hock fails & collects his premature P45, let's face it 100's of experienced managers end up being dismissed so what chance does this fella stand. All the same Hock doesn't deserve all the abuse being hurled at him after a handful of friendly games
Why not I saw Saturdays game and he was clueless have not seen any of the other games but by what I have been told the bookies have it right been 3rd favorites to go down he will be out of his depth in this league.

I have no argument with you there EY, the LUFC job may be too big for Hock

I know it seemed bad today as we struggled to get a draw v the Spirittes.......Hillsborough/Spotland under McDermott, Histon under Gary Mac, Hereford/Swindon under Larry were much worst !!!!

Agree with you there, there is no embarrassment with drawing with Chesterfield at all, they were a great footballing side last season and have kept that momentum going. On a talent/confidence/tactical level, they are probably not far below us at the minute...which wasn't true for Hereford or Histon at the time!

Cook didn't have a glittering managing/coaching career before going to Chesterfield but he's done a good job. Perhaps the pressure on the managers/coaches has a big influence on how they go about organizing systems but I just haven't seen evidence that Hockaday can do this at Leeds. I would be more than happy to be proven wrong this season as it would mean we have done pretty well. You, me, anyone could move into a club and shuffle about players until something works and hope that new signings fall into place. But it takes a good manager/coach to get a system going that moves the club forward so that it doesn't rely on luck or lots of money. Leicester won the league by having a system, QPR scraped through by throwing money and hoped the big stars would shine. We, as with the previous few seasons, are going at it with neither.

Similar thoughts on our average previous managers & our current head coach but i'll give him a few games too !

Worrying Hock played Morison on the left wing today, seems like he is continuing another trait from our past managers :(
Whats that then,

Square Pegs, Round holes?

hahaha

Cellino: Hockaday has ask me about 5/6 players. Don’t forget where he came from; league 5. He’s like a baby, who is in a toy shop.
I told Hockaday, “Did I ask your f****** advice? No. So shut the f*** up”. Jesus"...

I think August 22 would be very generous too.

Knowing Cellino a little - it will be on August 17th and crockashyte's p45 will be handed to him in a purple envelope. :roflmao:
So long as it's sooner than later

:roflmao: , what are you laughing at you silly bugger ? I'm serious .... that will be to much for Cellino to take , Cellino won't admit that he's purchases are not up for the English game yet , so someone has got to take the blame.
I know a lot of people say don't take notice of pre season but I do , it gives me a gage on how we are going to go , we lost to Mansfield and the other games only scored through penalties vs Chesterfield and the other.
Not wanting to be negative but this squad lacks real quality , I should know I predicted Leeds would lose 2-0 and got it right

Tried to keep the optimism for the new season despite the loss of McCormack in the summer but after yesterday's result the small amount I had accumulated has quickly subsided!.....

I'm going to say Tuesday 19th August at 10pm... after what will be a narrowly scraped 1-0 win against an Accrington Stanley Side who will be up for a game & losses to Middlesbrough and Brighton...

Cellino will sight the fact that the team isn't performing as well as he hoped and that he and Hockaday spoke and came to an 'amicable' agreement then he'll be quoted as saying 'Hockaday was s**t etc etc' in the press to some random journalist with 'Hockaday realised the job was too big and couldn't cut it line...'

Same old Same Old LUFC on the pitch... and off it we're being run by a Italian with an ego and a mouth to match.

An early lesson in English football for the Italian & that been said if his ego gets bruised enough he may end up delving a little further into his warchest and finally sign some real quality - at least it'll be early enough to make a difference.

Funny really, Hockaday wins the day today whilst up against a Boro team managed by a stylish young coach straight from three seasons working under Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid…. :bear:

Credit where credits due he changed things around today when the midfield diamond wasn't quite working out and rather than putting Smith on towards the end and reverting to a long ball style he went against what possibly was expected...

Might be a fluke, might be that he's actually tactically aware and could well be a dark horse! A few more results going the right way and us 'doubters' may end up eating our words!

Could it even be that he is now working with better and more intelligent (in a footballing sense) players who actually understand him?

Why should Hock be sacked is the question ?

Our players are fitter, working their socks off & playing football with style....why ?
