Hopefully the break did you the world of good Gandalf.

Looking like I'll be missing the Ascot comp mate, another, unexpected eye op tomorrow.

Crikey, I thought you had the eye situation sorted. I hope all goes well.

Our holiday wasn't what we expected. Over 100 Degrees every day, accompanied by lots of massive electrical storms and flooding, so we didn't see much of the sun. My favourite fishing piers were closed because of the lightning, and most of my exercise was spent wandering around (indoor and air conditioned) shopping malls.

Lots of people have lost their lives in the storms, which covered most of the southern US, so we were glad to get back in one piece to a not so hot and wet Yorkshire.

No, unfortunately 2, possibly 3 more operations after as well now, all went wrong again on Friday.

Crikey, that doesn't sound like fun, was in Florida about 34 years ago and they had a hurricane, earlier than normal, it was bloody scary and it wasn't supposed to have been a bad one.I didn't think that at 4.00 in the morning when I thought someone was trying to break in through the patio doors, turned out it was the patio furniture doing a dance in the winds.
