Re: Leeds Utd v Hull City - Post Match Discussion

Gaetano back at ER last night. They are obviously good mates, as I remember all three of them together at Woodall Services queueing just behind us for coffee on one of my away trips several years ago. Screenshot 2024-04-02 19.03.18.png I love the indelible memories that the Bielsa era left us with....

Re: Leeds Utd v Hull City - Post Match Discussion

Geo got away with a few moments of poor play last night near our box. He lost the 50/50 with the player who set up the first goal. Because he is an intregal part of the side he has a lot of credit so does not get called out. Here lies the hypocrisy - if you call out players who are not on your favo...

Pretty sure Farke said Piroe was our first choice in a previous presser. That said, there were mitigating circumstances on last night's penalty.

Leeds 22 Poor passes 12 Lost possession 04 Poor crosses As Tony Dorigo said " there was no urgency from our defenders to stop shots or crosses from outside our box. Gray played in front of Kamara in the first-half, they switched roles in the second-half. Kamara & Bamford were our least eff...

Re: Leeds Utd v Hull City - Post Match Discussion

If folk are just honest DDB, how many here thought "Oh ffs we don't need this at this crucial point, please please don't feckin miss now" If he hits that penalty and scuffs it again, i for one would be going ape, i was going ape anyway when i saw the replay of it going down the middle lik...

This is totally about going against the bosses wishes, and nothin else.
In fairness the boss stood silent. Remember last time, he had Rodon sprinting across with instructions. This time he just let the players figure it out.

Definitely wasn't suffering from confidence. Like I said, typical DJ would have tried to beat everyone for pace. Imagine how that shot would have looked if it hit went out for a throw in. Fully credit his confidence there.

Re: Leeds Utd v Hull City - Post Match Discussion

But that was choice? No ?.. an could say the same for us tbf I think the main part about the no 9 is that we didn't have a disrupter. It was made for someone like Gruev or Ampadu to get in among them. That made Archie's role wrong IMO. I think Kamara would have been much better there. He did nothin...

Re: Leeds Utd v Hull City - Post Match Discussion

I think that is slightly doing Hull a disservice. They were completely In control for large parts of the game, we couldn't get near them. What they lacked was a proper 9. They had especially 1st half 3 or 4 lovely crosses into our box which likely a proper 9 would have been on the end of. As it was...

Re: Leeds Utd v Hull City - Post Match Discussion

Funny how now we can't do without Gruev. Wasn't long ago the club was been criticized for buying him. I dont see how it's papering cracks without him. We win - or lose - as a team, not a group of individuals. In fact that's been our strength this season - finding a way to a result even when some ar...

Re: Leeds Utd v Hull City - Post Match Discussion

Totally agree  how can anyone be so critical of our star attacker, but then support Piroe who quite frankly has been a disappointment this season contrary to his eleven goals. Did OK when he was on for 14 minutes last night. I have slightly mixed feelings. Credit to Jimmy for having that kind ...

Re: Leeds Utd v Hull City - Post Match Discussion

The more I watch Dan James goal the more impressed I am. Given what we know, you'd have expected him to knock it past the defender then beat him for pace. The strike was so perfect and not easy the way he was on the run. Better than similar strikes like Beckhams because he is running at pace. Plus i...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 2nd April) Leeds escape mauling after late drama

We did all we could and all that was really necessary in January. We couldn't really strengthen further. The question you have about Strujik is moot. For one, we expected him back. But any other loanees we brought in would have had to be happy with a place on the bench. Premier league clubs send the...

Dan James? Would make sense given his comment.
