Re: Leeds Utd v Bristol City Match Thread

Players should believe that their place is insecure, they should be fighting to perform for their place week in week out, if your assured a place then psychologically you are bound to lose that motivation. Ironically, this is pretty much the exact opposite of the teaching of any recognised school o...

Re: Leeds Utd v Bristol City Match Thread

while it may appear mad to us that Bielsa tolerates poor showings like Casilla's seemingly without consequence, I suspect there is method involved. I'm sure you're right. Suggesting otherwise really amounts to a lack of trust in the manager. We may not agree, and I would like to see Meslier given a...

Re: Brentford v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Phillips returns for Alioski

I expect there's a multiplicity of factors, and it's different for each player. I just don't see justification for this, player not at their best after two weeks = rubbish recruitment, malarkey. How accurate is the bowles analogy, given the levels of fitness and tactical integration required for pro...

Re: Leeds Utd v Bristol City Match Thread

I bet Bielsa's a right slacker really.

Don't believe all this guff about him sleeping at the training ground, he's just phoning it in from Costas.

Lee Johnson will have the measure of him, that's for certain.

Boo Leeds!

Re: Brentford v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Phillips returns for Alioski

Two of our best players, Phillips and Klich, have found their form under Bielsa's guidance. Harrison too, has improved massively. Ayling has improved, Dallas, Ben White has been a revelation. It's a process, it seems, getting a team which can perform Bielsa's football. The lack of patience being sho...

Good for those fortunate enough to have a season ticket. Not so easy for anyone else who wants to see Leeds.

I wonder how many more season tickets could be sold with a greater ground capacity.

I'd rather we bought better players who need a bit of work than average ones who don't.

Re: Your Posts

Just looked - yes, they have it for iOS, but it has ads unless you pay a subscription , or there's a £9.99 version which requires you to have an account and therefore tracks your usage. I avoid ads and tracking like the plague, so it's not for me. Lots of complaints about the functionality in the re...

Re: Kiko the Clown

It would seem Bielsa doesn't trust Meslier, if that is the case it's pointless having a 2nd or 3rd keeper I suspect Bielsa has other reasons for persevering with players other than not trusting their replacements. Didn't he once fall out with a goalkeeper for saying his backup was just as important...

By heritage or by choice may I ask?
There's always a choice, isn't there. I studied Carmelite mystical theology for about 20 years. Don't worry, I'm thoroughly lapsed.
