Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2017

Silvestri confirmed as gone. Hope Bailey Peacock-Farell gets his promotion and a run of cup games . Great prospect .
1 CB and 1 LB will make me very optimistic for this year.

ps of the sick note 6 only Doukara still remains. Karma is a bitch

Re: Leeds v Barnsley - Team/News/Reports

For the first time since the Grayson era I am enjoying watching our team. Yes they make us bite our nails when they concede late on and hang on but this is exciting me. My only worry is our lack of quality crosses into the box. My local Wood hater was back on form yesterday but I don't see what he d...

Re: Leeds v Barnsley - Man Of The Match

Jansson was a collossus yesterday. Agree that Phillips is a good destructive force but O'kane makes the midfield tick.

MOTM Jansson :-D

Re: Supporting Leeds

Earliest Leeds memory was 1970 cup final when we lost to Chelski . jumped for joy in 1972 when we beat the Arsenal. Cried tears in 1973 when we lost to Sunderland. Hated Beckenbauer when we lost the European cup final. Emigrated to SA in 1977 so followed frm afar. First stop in 2001 when I came back...

Re: Leeds v Barnsley - Team/News/Reports

Truly hope that we get a good crowd and a good performance against a dangerous Barnsley Team. 4-2-3-1 is clearly our best option with the players available and this is borne out by the number of attempts on goal in recent matches. Wouldn't mess with the team for this one too much : Green --- Ayling ...

Woods link up play and goal for me. O'Kane was excellent and understated.

Re: Chris Wood

Anyone remember how many chances Robbie Keane required to score a goal for Leeds when we had proper attacking players. I used to call him UB40 --- 1 in 10 . :-D

Re: Chris Wood

A player like Wood needs service and we have failed to provide that for the past two seasons. Think back to some of his goals and you will note that they are from crosses put in front of him. No player can trap the ball on his head beat two cntre backs and dink the goalie. I sit in front of a fellow...

Re: Sunday Morning Breakfast Quickfire Debate/Season Review So Far

1) At the time were you happy with Monk's appointment in the summer ? YES 2 Were you happy or unconvinced with Monk's signings up to the Fulham game in mid-August Happy but realised they need time to bed in 3 Were you happy with the 4-4-2 formation/style of play Monk was playing no because we had no...

Re: Leeds v Ipswich. Team News/Reports/Ratings

This is my first post so I thought it should be a match report. Having sat through some functional but unexciting football over the last few seasons I expected another boring game. However I was pleasantly surprised. We started brightly and defended our lead brilliantly but once again failed to bury...
