Re: Leeds United Under-23's thread

Ironic how the U23's lost their first game as well as our championship team on the same weekend

Watched him again for the u23s tonight, but concerned he doesnt really stand out.
Looks ok, but no more then that.
When I first saw Baker in one of our friendlies at York, I expected him to be a cut above the rest

Truth is he wasn't.

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 24th Sept)

Was always going to happen but what I didn't really expect was not a tactical answer to our style but a gamesmanship one. Hell of a compliment Brum paid us btw. We can't beat them playing football so we must stop them from doing so. The constant falling over, trainers on the pitch affected our flui...

Re: What's on the menu tonight ladies 'n' gentlemen !

Do you have food restrictions Leon? I seem to recall you saying something about sugar before - none of my business but I assume you have diabetes or at least its precursor. You seem to be able to control it though so that's good. Not yet Norm but my GP diagnosed I was close to the diabetes mark & I...

Considering there were 1300 of them and they were winning for the vast majority of the game, they were pretty quiet on the whole.
I'm not surprised mate. I couldn't hear them from the kop

Thanks very much Leon - I'll make use of that.
Preston brought 600 fans (not great) to ER last season but that match was played on a Saturday which makes a big difference to attendances particularly the away support for clubs apart from Leeds :-D

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 24th Sept)

The only question I have is, are we being found out? I don't see the games apart from the odd lucky stream so can only go on what you guys write and reports from ESPN etc., and I'm grateful for that, but it means I can't really get the 'feel' of a game like you can when you watch it live. We are mi...

Re: Other fans opinions

I didn't realise that Leon - is that a Premier League rule? If so it sounds like a good piece of commerce and the Championship ought to have something similar Some deal done between Sky & the FA I believe, good value Norm I know my friends are paying £39 for Sheff Wed tickets, because I'm a concess...

Re: Other fans opinions

Anyone wish to comment on our pricing structure for away fans, £37 does seem ridiculous. And also how have the away followings been so far? are the away fans paying the money or not. £37 is far too much to pay especially for championship football. Fans who attend away matches also have additional c...

Carlos Corberan's U23s side head to the University of Bolton Stadium tonight, as Leeds United look to cement their place at the top of the Professional Development League.

Re: Leeds v Birmingham - MAN OF THE MATCH

We will have to agree to disagree mate. I don't like to see cbs backing off and Pontus was guilty of it twice, imo he should have stepped up both times. However BPF is far more at fault for the 1st and Douglas should have done more then dangling a leg out. As a CB you can't afford to commit yoursel...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 24th Sept)

Morning Leon, Birmingham certainly made it difficult for us by getting 11 players behind the ball when we were attacking. Yes, I'd call it cheating too. It was so blatent. As I say the football authorities could stop that type of cheating by continuing play when players go down injured who generall...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 24th Sept)

Morning EB1 and everyone, While I agree with '64 that MB cleverly apportions no blame to Kalvin Phillips for the tactical substitution, this is the second time that he has done this to him regardless of the reason and think it could start to affect his confidence. Surely he could have got orders on...

Re: The LUFC Breakfast Debate (Mon 24th Sept)

Good Morning Everyone Leeds suffered their first league defeat of the season against Birmingham at the weekend courtesy of a Che Adams first half brace and although Alioski grabbed a goal with five minutes remaining, Leeds were unable to find an equaliser. Phil Hay makes an interesting point in the...

Absolutely that was strange , it's like as if he punished Phillips and Klich for the goals we conceded.....wrong call.
I hope not as Klich & Phillips have played a major part in this seasons excellent football we've all witnessed
