Re: England v West Indies - Test Match

Yes but we shouldn't have batted first on a damp day with the forecast good for the last three, the wicket was always going to get better. HCCC's ground has a reputation as fast scoring batsman's wicket if the overhead conditions are good..I think Ben won the toss

Re: Leeds United v Stoke City - 5-0 - MOTM

out of interest i wonder why pabs is only playing half the games - because he can't last the full 90? just coming back from injury? bielsa wants to use him sparingly? all of the above? both him and costa had fantastic games - costa edges it for me because he did it over the full 90 and got us the c...

Re: Positives/Negatives v Stoke (1 of each only please)

Sometimes it's a great tactic against teams that like to employ a high defensive line as it gets them turning and makes their defensive line disjointed. If you angle the ball away from goal then it gives a player the chance to get to the ball and the midfield can then come up for him laying it back...

Re: Positives/Negatives v Stoke (1 of each only please)

A 35 yr old with bags of experience against a 21 yr old, still learning his trade, trying to get a run of games going, they shouldn't be compared. Is the correct answer...plus he's only played AMF for us and tbh that's been in fits and spurts. He's not even the same type of player that Pablo is. I ...

Re: First Car

Friend of mine had this very same bike, also in blue, and yes it was noisy! It was also pretty fun. Oh great fun, s**t off a shovel as we used to say. Back in the day when we could ride 250's as learners...I rode bikes until I was nearly 30, didn't learn to drive till I was about 25..My dad never l...

Re: First Car

My dad rode a 750 Kawasaki and latterly a 500 Kawasaki till he was 70 plus, before that I remember a BSA, used to go to watch Raith Rovers every home game on the back of that when I was about 10/11. I learned from about 14 on Ash Ranges on a 1960's Cossack 250, you could get away with that back then...

Yes, I loved the liquid-cooled engine and the shaft drive, which were both nice features when you're a dumb kid with no experience in motorcycle maintenance. Forgot about the s...
