Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 31st March) Too much strain to complete EFL remaining fixtures

Really, and what if Sky Sports and BT Sport say they will forgo the money? Will everyone involved go to prison? Will they be put to death? Will they be forced to attend a Justin Bieber concert? How can it be watertight if both sides agree not to enforce it? How can anyone force the Premier League t...

Re: Most Memorable Games

I was a 15 year old still at school when the teachers organised a dormobile (a sort of van with windows) to go to see Liverpool V Leeds, the game that would confirm us as champions if we won or drew it in 1969. Not having tickets, the teachers ended up in the adult away section, and us 7 or so "kids...

Thanks Faaip - just the ticket! Lets hope they put some more up. Classic games from the past. Now that would be a must-watch!

Re: What are you doing today ?

Spoke to soon: apparently 6 hours of Leeds Utd on Sky just started... You would have thought someone at Leedsunited.com, would have thought it would be community spirited to make available re-runs of some of this seasons (past seasons also) matches, for those of us who are missing the action. They ...

Re: When the season resumes

I too think any resumption will be behind closed doors. Can't see the EFL going against advice to avoid social distancing. As a Leeds fan, you of course, always worry that this latest obstacle to promotion, could put a spanner in the works. I worry that the cohesion of the team will still be there w...

Re: Jack Harrison

What I really like about him, is his ability to take down a long pass and be able to run with it. There's been many times this season where defence has switched to attack in the blink of an eye, with someone pinging a fast ball to Jack on the wing. Invariably he controls it and runs at the oppositio...

Re: Football suspended till April

Don't know what would be the best way to conclude the season. If this goes on for months, it will eventually overlap into next season. If the leagues say the situation as it is in April, will decide who goes up/down, surely there will be legal challenges. Leeds in particular are looking at over a £1...

Re: Football suspended till April

I can see the suspension going well beyond the date in April. According to the chief scientific/medical officers last night, the peak won't hit until 10 o 14 weeks time.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thur 12th Mar) - All matches to be played behind closed doors?

Worried about what impact all this may have on our promotion prospects, but I don't think the biggest threat to our aspirations is closing the stadiums to fans. I have to wonder how long it will be before a member of the first team squad is confirmed as infected, and as a result, the whole team has ...

Re: Coronavirus

Here is a link to a website which shows not only the total numbers infected, but also those who have recovered, within that overall total. It's very informative. Most people will recover completely. Many won't even know they have had the virus. It's easy to be dispassionate about it but it's when yo...

Re: Guests

I get the "I" newspaper each Saturday. In the football pages is the Championship matrix, which has comments from each of the appropriate clubs forums. I've noticed for the last 4 weeks or so that the LUFC quotes are coming from here so maybe more people are picking up the forum from the paper.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Monday 9th March) Leeds have a 97% chance of Promotion!

SaraM said: "The most encouraging thing for me is how much the players seem to want it. We have an incredible team spirit, and everyone is giving of their best. Can't ask for much more than that." I agree. Perhaps it's my memory playing tricks, but I'm sure last season, we looked much more fragile. ...

Re: Football Streams

Not sure if it's a money thing for some, but I haven't missed a game this season or last, using a VPN (about £45 for the year), then paying the fiver over to LUFC, to get the overseas stream. It really is very easy to do, and the stream is quality.

Re: Hull City v Leeds Utd Match Thread - Meslier and Phillips Start

Thought both Costa and Harrison were really good today. They both show lots of skill and are not afraid to take on their man. I know they're not the finished articles yet, but I can see them being big players for us over the next five years. Dare I say, there are times when I look at Harrison's tric...

How did ian do?

Was excited when we signed him getting worried that the club as usual spin it out to hide that all we had done is sign another u23 again when we needed 1st teamers.
Think that's exactly right!

Re: Leeds Utd v Bristol City Match Thread - Unchanged Starting XI, Roberts returns to the bench

Worried at 1.0 with 10mins to go, but in truth we never looked like conceding. Everyone in a white shirt wanted the win. Does feel like they have all been stung by the loss of the gap, and are now going all out to build it again. Something for the weekend sir? Yes, a win thanks!

Re: Hail Lord Bamford

Have to say, I view that goal celebration, with his hands on his ears, totally differently. I suspect what he was doing was saying to himself, don't listen to any of the fan adulations for scoring, because, I'll be getting slated for not scoring in the next game. In other words, don't listen to any ...

Re: January Transfer Window And Squad Discussion-3rd Adams bid rejected.

I know we're desperate for a striker, but £20million for Adams would for sure have the opposition fans singing "Leeds are falling apart again". Not worth that, and Southampton know it.
