Re: Watford v Leeds Utd Match Thread

Was thinking about that Easter weekend nearly 5 years ago, the one we went in to with hope of auto promotion, it was in our hands and yet we emerged from it utterly bereft - it was later in the season but can’t escape the feeling this weekend has the potential be be as bad. Also whose idea was it we...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 27th March) Wales heartache and the knock on effect for Leeds

I would have thought there was an argument that the disappointment for the Welsh contingent would have the effect of galvanising the determination to ensure that they do everything to ensure automatic promotion . Falling into the Play Offs now would run the risk of facing another penalty shoot out ...

Re: Hate speech

To me it seems obvious that the compassionate and just thing is to support, protect and include marginalised people. It is better for everyone that we are no longer as racist, homophobic, sexist etc. It also seems obvious that the wrong way to do that is through increased state control and policing...

Re: Hate speech

fragile white men to continue making edgy remarks. It really isn't. Therein lies the problem - what is edgy? Is it fixed? Does it change, can something reasonable today be edgy tomorrow? Who decides what’s right? A few years ago anyone could say a man cant be a woman yet now it’s blasphemy of the h...

Re: England kit

Society is breaking down because global capitalism is failing. Looking back to an idealised nationalist past is not the answer either. Oh absolutely who the hell wants to go back to those days, communities, national pride, decency, respect and low crime rates, err yuck pass me the sick bucket. Give...

Re: England kit

Society is already pretty close to breaking down so why not remove the last vestiges of unity we have. we can all have a play around with the flag and have different marauding factions ruling the country, oh just imagine how harmonious and peaceful it would be.

Re: Premier League debate

So Leicester now charged by the EPL for breaches of P&S that’s all 3 clubs that finished just above us last season - how do you square the circle that we sold our best players to stay in the rules and got relegated whilst cheating teams stayed in The league and now have paltry points deductions ...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Wednesday 20th March) Phillips linked with Elland Road return

Philips is far too injury prone for me and I think sitting on a bench for two years will have made that even worse - so no I wouldn’t have him back if it were in anyway my decision. Although their fans seem to be in meltdown I do believe Leicester will regroup and take the title I’m not really too w...

Re: Dan James

Always liked Dan James was just a case of waiting for the ideal circumstances to align so he found his confidence again - still convinced we would of gone up had we signed him the first time. scum and then his first season with us messed him up a bit.

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Tuesday 19th March) Surgery could see Struijk out out action for 3 to 4 months

Even if struijk was fit I’d rather we kept the CD pairing we have in place, in fact I’d keep it like it is if we get promoted and we manage to sign Rodon of course - just really hope they both get through internationals as just cooper as backup is worrying.

Re: Georginio Rutter- Having minor surgery

Had a little bit of hernia surgery myself a few years back and it took a couple of weeks before anything overly physical was possible. I'd say 10 days is a bit optimistic to be playing professional football which means the Easter games might come too soon for Georginio. Was yours a proper hernia th...

Re: Premier League debate - Newcastle slump?

The rich six were allowed to spend spend spend. Now for other clubs that door has slammed shut. The notts forest supporter was right, "how are we supposed to stay in the premier league if we're not allowed to compete with those six who have got away with it before these rules came in" Jus...

Re: Premier League debate - Newcastle slump?

We get relegated from the prem into the most competitive season in the championship possibly ever. Meanwhile the prem is easier than ever to survive in with 3 awful teams promoted and 2 with points deductions Then assuming we go up with Southampton and Leicester the prem will again be extremely comp...

Re: The #LUFC Breakfast Debate (Thursday 14th March) Foxes face real threat of points deductions this season

No chance a points deduction happens this season, there would need to be an appeal and that would make it all too messy towards the end of the season - surely be cert for relegation next year in the prem though.

98, I can’t see us losing again this season but I’ve been a bit pessimistic with draws vs hull, Blackburn, Boro and Southampton

Re: Sheffield Wednesday v Leeds United - Post Match Chat

Good three points and have to say despite not been up to our usual standard 7 from 9 is a good week. Tough for Southampton looking at a 9 point gap even with 2 games in hand.

Goal difference could still come in to it with Ipswich and ours is a lot better.
